Singer/actress Brey Noelle has now confirmed that she will play White Rabbit in the second season of James Gunn's Peacemaker.
Noelle shared the news to her Instagram stories after the rumor of her casting sprang online thanks to an IMDb listing. She also commented on several other posts welcoming her to the Dcu.
In the comics, the original White Rabbit debuted in the pages of Adventures of Superman #500 back in the '90s, but the better-known incarnation of the character was a Batman baddie created by David Finch and Paul Jenkins as part of DC's New 52.
Jaina Hudson is the daughter of an American diplomat and an Indian Bollywood actress, and has the ability to duplicate herself into two separate beings. It's possible that Noelle is only playing one of these personas, although there's always a chance she will have a completely different power set in the show.

When Lost debuted on ABC back in 2004, audiences were plunged into the lives of a group of survivors on a strange island following the wreck of Oceanic Flight 815. One of those individuals was Ethan Rom, a quiet figure who soon revealed himself as one of the show’s earliest mysteries.
Portrayed by William Mapother, Ethan’s short yet unsettling time on screen made a lasting impression on the acclaimed survival drama. So, who is Ethan in the world of Lost, and what makes him stick in the minds of fans years later?

Ethan Rom first appears in Lost Season 1, Episode 5, "White Rabbit," slipping effortlessly into the crowd of stranded passengers. What’s both clever and chilling about his arrival is how ordinary he seems at first — reserved, cooperative, and remarkably unremarkable. Herb Greene, whose iconic photographs of the 1960 San Francisco rock scene captured the era’s superstars — Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, among others — in their prime, died March 3, at his home in Maynard, Massachusetts, following a long illness. He was 82.
His death was announced on Facebook by his wife Ilze Greene.
Born April 3, 1942, in Indio, CA, Greene had moved north with his family to Yuba City, where, in his final year of high school he took up photography. After high school, he attended San Francisco State University but left college for a job as staff photographer at the city’s high-end department store Joseph Magnin, where he took pictures of the fashions of the day including bell bottoms and miniskirts.
Around this time he met and married Maruska Jiranek, who landed a job with San Francisco rock impresario Bill Graham. Greene already had befriended the young Jerry Garcia,...

When Lostdebuted 20 years ago, the series captured the imaginations of millions of viewers and became a genuine phenomenon. In that short time, series co-creators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof captured some of Lost's most important ideas.
Eventually, credits rolled on the last episode six years later, and many of those fans felt confused, or worse, let down. While the specific details of this epic story were constantly in flux, the storytellers always knew where they were heading. In every season of Lost, there were countless clues, some subtle and some over, which clearly foreshadowed the twists in the series finale.

Quick Links The Feud Between Jack Shephard and John Locke Wasn't Supposed to Happen Lost's Man of Science and Man of Faith Debate, Explained Both Jack Shephard and John Locke 'Lost' Their Feud How the 'Flash Sideways World' Helped Explain Their Feud
This article contains a brief mention of suicide.
One of the main reasons that Lost became an intensely beloved series was its characters. These walking mystery boxes were enough to keep audiences captivated beyond questions about the island or the Others. The two central characters in Lost, John Locke and Jack Shephard, had a bitter and deadly feud, which ultimately doomed them both. While teased in the Lost pilot, the game being played by forces on the island remained a mystery until the very end. John Locke believed the island was miraculous because it restored his ability to walk.

Quick Links Who Was Christian Shephard in Lost, and Why Was He Important? How Christian Shephard Appeared on the Island, Explained Why the Smoke Monster Chose to Impersonate Jack's Father How Jack Shepard Was Able to Reunite With His Father
Some 20 years after its debut, Lost is known for its nuanced storytelling. However, sometimes it was very "on the nose." For example, the ghostly figure guiding both island leaders was named "Christian Shephard," which isn't very subtle. He was Jack's father, who died in Australia, but what really happened to him is one of Lost's most interesting mysteries. At times, Jack's father wasn't actually Christian Shephard.
One of the most enduring pieces of Lost trivia is that, originally, Jack Shepard was supposed to die in the pilot episode. Series co-creators J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof wanted to kill off the obvious hero of the show, so the audience would...

Twenty years later, Lost season 1 is still an outstanding piece of television, but there are some notable flaws that are worth examining. While it's largely debated what the best season of Lost is, the first is often a strong contender, known for introducing the show's premise and characters and creating an enormous cultural phenomenon. When the Lost pilot aired on September 22nd, 2004, all of its ideas were fresh, exciting, and brought a level of prestige quality that's scarcely been rivaled on network television.
Love it or hate it, the Lost finale is undoubtedly divisive, and the reasons for that stem from season 1. In retrospect, it's easier to spot aspects of the show that weren't planned well or weren't planned at all. That shouldn't detract from one's enjoyment of an excellent TV season, but it's fun to consider the aspects of season 1 that work and don't work when rewatching it, given...

Crobot have announced a new album, Obsidian, arriving September 13th. The Pennsylvania hard rockers also offered up the lead single “Come Down.”
The track was co-written and conceived by drummer Dan Ryan and opens with a barrage of percussion and a soaring vocal intro. The ensuing combination of chugging metallic riffs, dark atmospherics, and Brandon Yeagley’s world-class pipes harkens back to vintage Soundgarden/Alice in Chains, setting the table for Crobot’s most “introspective” album to date.
“As we started demoing songs,“ guitarist Chris Bishop explained in the press release, “the music was being pushed more and more into a heavier, darker, more metal direction. ‘Come Down’ is one of the heaviest songs that we’ve done, it’s much more in the world of Alice in Chains. Certain songs have become overplayed in movies, causing their original meaning and impact to be lost. Songs like "London Calling" and "All Along The Watchtower" are frequently used to represent specific locations or characters' rebellious spirit. "Hallelujah," "White Rabbit," and "Gimme Shelter" are examples of songs that are often used in emotionally momentous moments, but their ubiquity has diminished their power.
Certain songs capture a moment or mood so perfectly that they can define an era – yet being successful can also cause some overplayed movie songs to lose their power. Throughout cinema history, filmmakers have turned to the same songs over and over again to elicit a specific reaction from the audience. Unfortunately, failing to think outside the box has transformed previously iconic movie moments into parodies of themselves, all thanks to an unimaginative song choice.

Philip K. Dick wanted Grace Slick, a vibrant and hard girl, to play the character of Rachael in Blade Runner, believing her presence would benefit the film. Dick suggested Gregory Peck or Ben Gazzara for the role of Rick Deckard, describing Peck as powerful and sensitive and Gazzara as bold and a man of action. Dean Stockwell and Wally Cox were considered for the character of Jack Isidore, with Stockwell envisioned as sensitive and introverted and Cox adding his own personality to the role.

Erasure’s Vince Clarke has announced that he’ll be releasing his debut solo album, Songs of Silence, on November 17th via Mute. Along with the announcement, he has shared the album’s first single, “The Lamentations of Jeremiah.” Stream the song below.
Spanning 10 tracks, Songs of Silence will be an ambient instrumental album, forged by experimenting in the studio during the extended downtime of the pandemic. Clarke — whose compositions with Erasure and Depeche Mode have already earned him a place in the annals of pop history — began tapping into the possibilities of Eurorack, a modular synthesizer that can create a seemingly limitless number of sounds. The result was a flow of creativity that eventually blossomed into a full-fledged album.
Pre-orders for Songs of Silence are ongoing. See the artwork and full tracklist below.
“I could have gone on forever, I could have not stopped,” Clarke said of his creative method in a press statement.

Disney’s animated classic Alice in Wonderland is renowned for its trippy, surreal imagery, including the recurring motif of Alice growing – but there’s a deeper meaning to this particular psychedelic image. Based on the Alice books by Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland revolves around a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole and enters the fantasy world of Wonderland, where she meets such colorful characters as the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the Queen of Hearts. Although it was a critical and commercial disappointment on its initial release in 1951, Alice in Wonderland has since become one of Disney’s most beloved movies.
When Alice first follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole into Wonderland at the beginning of the movie, she drinks a shrinking potion so that she can fit through the tiny door. After she goes through the door, she eats a cookie, which...

The soundtrack for American Hustle, the David O. Russell-directed 2013 crime caper, contains songs by a wide range of legendary musicians, from Tom Jones to the Bee Gees to Duke Ellington. The movie tells a fictionalized account of the Abscam operation of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. Bradley Cooper stars as an FBI agent who recruits a pair of con artists, played by Amy Adams and Christian Bale, for a sting operation to catch crooked politicians. American Hustle was released to critical and commercial success. It was nominated for 10 Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and all four acting categories.

The Wachowski sisters-directed The Matrix is undisputedly the greatest movie in the franchise, but while the three sequels didn't live up to the original, they still had some great moments and interesting concepts. The original 1999 movie was a phenomenal success, as it featured groundbreaking action sequences, and it had a thought-provoking philosophical narrative that didn't talk down to its audience. However, the Wachowskis took those mind-warping ideas way too far in the sequels, and the original idea got lost in incoherent world-building and biblical analogies. The legacy sequel, The Matrix Resurrections, even dropped the tone of the series in favor of meta jokes.
Though it will always be compared negatively to The Matrix, The Matrix Resurrections is "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes, as is The Matrix Reloaded, and there's a lot to love about The Matrix Revolutions too. Though the digital effects might be inconsistent, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions...

Kochi, March 16 (Ians) An emotive artistic work that has an underlying reference to violence stemming from man-animal confrontations, exemplified by the brutal killing of a pregnant elephant by feeding it with explosive-laden pineapple, is getting noticed at the Kochi Muziris Biennale.
The tusker met with a horrific death at Ambalappara in Kerala’s Palakkad district on May 27, 2020, after eating the fruit filled with country-made crackers which exploded in its mouth.
The blast was so powerful that the poor animal ran around the village in searing pain, unable to eat for days.
Finally, it entered a river and stood there with its trunk and mouth immersed in water till it breathed its last two days later.
Shikh Sabbir Alam, a contemporary artist from Bangladesh, has now recreated this incident, which received worldwide attention.

They say if you live long enough you see everything come around full circle. Flairs, stonewashed jeans, Spider-Man first issues… I can’t even remember how many first issues of Spider-Man books I both have, and have read. Do we need another? To be fair, on this occasion, yes. The Ben Reilly storyline ended an era in a way, it’s Spidey’s 60th anniversary, and also John Romita Jr. is back home where he belongs. This time, a new first issue just feels right. I’m also pleased that Zeb Wells is writing, someone I feel is consistently underrated as a writer. He usually puts more into one issue than some writers do in a dozen. Think of him as the anti-Bendis. So, all the right pieces are on the board, but can it deliver?...

Trixie Mattel does some multitasking in the video for “C’mon Loretta,” silencing a tennis court foe and paying homage to a country great in one fell swoop. The song appears on the drag star and songwriter’s upcoming double LP The Blonde & Pink Albums, due in June.

The year “The Matrix” came out — 1999 — already had a very sci-fi sound to it. It was the year Prince had imagined as the run-up to the apocalypse, a premonition that would be echoed in the Y2K jitters. And 1999 is just such a cool number; it’s like the other side of the coin from 2001. With its row of nines poised to turn over, it sounded like the future embedded in the present. And that’s kind of how 1999 felt. We knew that we were moving into the 21st century, and we thought we had a good idea of what that was about. The Internet was only a few years old, but already we could see where it was pointing: to a digital world that would bring everything (literally) to your fingertips. Everything could now be done at home, at the computer keyboard, including the manipulation of reality, which could...

Kindly note: though efforts were made to skirt plot, certain of The Matrix Resurrections‘ first 25-or-so minutes are discussed herein.
The Matrix Resurrections is misshapen, haphazard, and some of the happiest a film has made me in 2021, regularly inspiring surprises and enthusiasms the contemporary tentpole long deemed irrelevant. Though less a take-it-or-leave-it gauntlet-toss than Lana Wachowski’s more boldly experimental endeavors, the virtues of her fourth Matrix are often in excess of anything she’s made since the polarizing-but-great sequels, sometimes in contradiction to the matter of us even watching it—a work about the fact that it nearly should not exist.
Great care’s of course been taken to retain narrative secrecy up to Resurrections’ release. Par for the course in a spoiler culture the original helped begat and its sequels tried subverting, and which this new beginning meets head-on in a sort of dare. Having heard stray, ultimately...

There are so many legendary aspects of The Sopranos that it’s hard to pick just one. Between masterful storytelling, deep character development, and uncanny acting, everything comes together to create a show that has been enjoyed for over two decades now. The most artistic aspect of the package, however, may just be the use of music, specifically the unique songs curated personally by creator David Chase that run during each episode’s end credits.
Ranging from oldies, foreign ballads, jazz compositions, and pure instrumentals, the variety is stunning and can keep you exploring the track list of the series for days. We’ve decided to narrow all of the end credit songs down to the best 15 in the series, listed in chronological order of airing. Enjoy!

Back when most blockbuster movie franchises became standalone trilogies and not cinematic universes, The Matrix Revolutions seemed like a definitive end to Neo’s story. He’d struck a deal to save Zion from the Machines and deleted Hugo Weaving’s infinite Smiths once and for all. But what had it cost him? His sight, his life, and losing the woman he loved. It was a bittersweet end to The Wachowski’s magnum opus, but a conclusion nonetheless.
Until now. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise their respective roles as Neo and Trinity for The Matrix Resurrections, which is directed by Lana Wachowski, who wrote the script with novelists David Mitchell and Aleksandar Hemon. The unlikely sequel is billed as a revival, not a reboot, and will also bring back Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe, Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian, and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson. Attendees at CinemaCon got the first glimpse of the trailer for the next “Matrix” movie, which has had its title confirmed as “The Matrix Resurrections” and will be released this December.
The trailer, set to Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit,” sees Neo (Keanu Reeves) in therapy — his therapist is played by Neil Patrick Harris, by the way — discussing strange memories he’s been having in dreams. Those memories, of course, are of his past as The One, the savior of Zion who liberated humans from The Matrix at the cost of his own life. How he has returned to life without memories of the one he lived before is not yet clear.
On top of that, he reunites with the love of his life, Trinity (Carrie Anne Moss). But while their first meeting was in an undergroud club blaring Rob Zombie over the speakers, this reunion is in a brightly lit cafe during the day.

The film was an official selection at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, written, directed and produced by Lister-Jones and Wein. American International Pictures will release the project in theaters and on digital platforms on July 20 in the U.S. The company also holds worldwide distribution rights.
The project follows Liza (Lister-Jones), traversing across Los Angeles on the eve of the end of the world. As she reconciles relationships with parents, old lovers and friends, she walks in step with a metaphysical projection of her younger self (the dazzling Cailee Spaeny of HBO’s “Mare of Eastown”).
The project features dozens of cameos from top comedy stars and actors including Whitney Cummings, Tawny Newsome, Finn Wolfard, Nick Kroll, Logan Marshall Green, Bobby Lee, Fred Armisen, Glenn Howerton, Bradley Whitford,...

How “How It Ends” ends: badly, and not soon enough. How it begins is not much better, and has the added disadvantage of being even further from the end than the end. Everything in the middle is great, though! Just kidding. The middle is likely the worst part. “How It Ends,” directed by husband-and-wife team Daryl Wein and Zoe Lister-Jones (“Band Aid“), who also stars, delivers almost precisely the film you might have feared in darker moments, way back at the beginning of this ungodly pandemic, that someone was going to think was a good idea: a wildly self-indulgent, toothcrackingly twee feature-length therapy session for people whose experiences during this period of isolation and alienation, contrary to the popular notion that we’re all going through much the same shit, are clearly so deeply, existentially different from yours that you end up feeling lonelier than ever.

If you ever found yourself staring at an old childhood photograph, scrutinizing what your younger self was thinking in that moment, the idiosyncratically existential comedy “How It Ends” will leave a bittersweet aftertaste. Especially if you happen to catch this oddly sedative (if not tiresomely repetitive) Sundance 2021 premiere amid the loneliness of the ongoing pandemic. In the end, we’re all a little perplexed nowadays, just like the film’s protagonist, a woman negotiating with the past and hoping to tie her life’s loose ends on what appears to be the last day of human existence. And we all have been finding ourselves with more reasons than usual to nostalgically wonder what we could have done differently in the normal days, panicking about all the missed opportunities, as if an asteroid is about to wipe out the world as we know it.
