Heart returned to the stage on Friday (February 28th) in Las Vegas, playing their first concert since singer Ann Wilson underwent cancer treatment last year.

The gig at the BleauLive Theater kicked off the classic rock band’s North American “Royal Flush Tour,” a trek that was previously postponed last July so Wilson could undergo preventative chemo therapy.

Ann performed the Las Vegas kickoff show while seated in a wheelchair, as seen in audience footage. The 13-song setlist featured Heart’s biggest hits such as “These Dreams,” “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man,” and the rousing “Barracuda,” which closed out the encore. They also ran through a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Going to California.”

Back in September, Ann Wilson announced that she was finished with chemo and “officially ready” for the band’s rescheduled 2025 tour dates. The outing rolls on with a gig on Monday (March 3rd) at Crypto.

Character Anonymouse’s unmasking marked one of the biggest in the show’s history as they were revealed to be Demi Lovato.

Lovato had belted out Heart’s hit “What About Love”, with judges Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong — who looked noticeably in shock at the amazing vocals during the performance — guessing who was behind the mask.

Anonymouse gave the clues Nick Jonas, Texas, a tiara and a dinosaur to help them figure out who it was, Et reported.

Lovato also gave some clues about her internal struggles, sharing: “When my future was looking bright from the outside, I struggled with feeling funny inside.

In another move to feed the beast of frosh streamers, Universal has announced that their Jennifer Lopez-Owen Wilson romantic comedy Marry Me will stream on Peacock the same weekend the movie hits theaters, Feb. 11-13.

Previous theatrical-day-and-date Peacock releases include DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby: Family Business ($57.3M domestic) and Blumhouse/Miramax’s Halloween Kills. The latter film didn’t seem to be eroded that much by its Peacock release posting a healthy $49.4M domestic opening and a $92M final tally stateside.

Marry Me, directed by Kat Coiro, follows a musical superstar, played by Lopez, who is about to be proposed to by her fellow music supernova (Maluma in his feature film debut) before a global audience of fans. However, she learns that he’s been unfaithful and decides to marry Charlie (Wilson), a stranger in the crowd instead.

Focus Features continues its steady rollout of movies into 2021 with the release of Robin Wright’s feature directorial debut drama Land on February 12, 2021, just in time for Oscar qualifications which have a cutoff date of February 28.

Land is scheduled on a weekend when the following movies are currently expected to open: 20th Century Studio’s The King’s Man and the Andy Garcia-Sharon Stone wide release What About Love.

Burgeoning Paris-based film and TV content group Mediawan has announced a trio of corporate acquisitions in France, Germany and Spain as part of a pan-European expansion drive.

Mediawan is acquiring French content group Lagardère Studios, for a figure of around €100m ($112m), and a majority stake in Spanish production company Good Mood.

Under the operation, Mediawan’s three co-founders – Pierre-Anton Capton, Xavier Niel and Matthieu Pigasse - will create a dedicated French company called Mediawan Alliance, which will oversee all of the assets.

“His Dark Materials” writer Jack Thorne has partnered with actor-turned-writer Genevieve Barr to create a factual drama for BBC Two based on the true story about the campaign for disabled civil rights in Britain.

With a working title of “Independence Day? How Disabled Rights Were Won,” the 60-minute film centres on the people behind a campaign of direct action for disability rights.

The film enters the story through the eyes of Barbara Lisicki and Alan Holdsworth (pictured), two disabled cabaret performers who met in 1989 and went on to become the driving force behind Dan (Direct Action Network).

Their incendiary ‘Piss on Pity’ protest slogan helped to re-frame the debate around disability rights in the U.K., while their spontaneous pickets shut down cinemas, restaurants, stations and even the London underground, until their rights were enshrined into law.

Fans cried foul when they first got a taste of the iconic video game speedster in Paramount Pictures' upcoming live-action adventure comedy Sonic the Hedgehog. The movie was supposed to open this past weekend, but the outcry was so loud and so harsh, that the studio shuffled the release to this Valentine's Day, opting to redesign Sonic. Today, we got a trailer for the updated movie, giving us all a look at the redesign in action. Guess what? Fans love it.

At least according to a new trending poll. SEMrush, a trends data provider, tracked Twitter sentiment surrounding variations of the trailer and the response was overwhelming. 73.68% of all tweets were positive when describing Sonic's new look, while only 6.85% were negative.

Overwhelming applause was also highlighted for the Sonic the Hedgehog redesign trailer, as the clapping emoji was the most used in all tweets. So it appears that all that extra handwork has paid off.

Marielle Jaffe has signed with Apa, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Most recently she was a regular during the fifth and final season of ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager, playing Clementine, a former foster sister of Ricky’s (Daren Kagasoff). The actress stars in next February’s indie drama What About Love opposite Sharon Stone and Andy Garcia, who play her parents. Andy Garcia and Ray Romano are joining Raymond De Felitta’s Rob The Mob crime drama which is based on a true story. Sources say that the story has Pitt and Arianda as a New York couple who steal from social clubs run by the mob until they happen to land a list of of every Mafioso in town and wind up being the target of the mob and feds alike. Production has started with Bill Teitler (What Maisie Knew) producing the film. Garcia was last seen in Damian Lee's A Dark Truth alongside Forest Whitaker and Kim Coates.
