A lot of Nathan Fielder’s work seems to be shrouded in mystery these days — from the surreal ending of last year’s The Curse, to the upcoming second season of The Rehearsal, to the recent news that Fielder has been visiting Elizabeth Holmes in prison for a “top-secret” project that may be a documentary. Or perhaps just an article for The Diarrhea Times?
But possibly even more perplexing is the fact that Fielder helmed a feature film that’s barely seen the light of day. Tucked amongst his credits on the Internet Movie Database is a 2008 documentary, directed by Fielder, called Love and Cameras in America. According to the synopsis on IMDb, the film answers the question, “What happens when a man with virtually no experience making movies and no interest in politics is sent to make a documentary about the 2008 United States presidential election?” Noting that “for better or for worse,...

Oscar Nuñez will return as Oscar Martinez in Peacock’s follow-up series to “The Office,” Variety has confirmed.
Sources say Nuñez will not be the central character in the upcoming mockumentary sitcom — which takes place in the same universe as “The Office” — as it is an ensemble series. But he is part of the show’s character mix, and has been in the opening script from the beginning.
There are no further details regarding Oscar’s role or storyline in the new show, which Greg Daniels is creating and executive producing with Michael Korman (“Nathan For You”).
As of now, Nuñez is believed to be the only “Office” cast member who will appear in the follow-up series (right now still referred to as the “Untitled Daniels/Korman Project”) — but it has been noted that since it lives in the world of “The Office,” there was always a chance that characters...

“The Rehearsal” Season 2 will debut on HBO and Max on April 20. The network also released a teaser trailer for Nathan Fielder’s surreal and twisted dark comedy series, which helps real people prepare for life’s biggest moments through freakishly high-budget simulations.

The best Nathan For You episodes include some of the funniest and most intriguing social experiments ever caught on camera. Airing between 2013 and 2017 on Comedy Central, Nathan For You is the brainchild of comedian Nathan Fielder. Originally starting as skits on Canadian satire show This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Nathan For You sees Fielder pretending to be a business consultant. He offers his services to help struggling companies, but his ideas grow increasingly elaborate and absurd.
Nathan For You became incredibly popular due to just how unpredictable Fielder's ideas were, since they often backfired in spectacular and unexpected way. Fielder plays the semi-fictional version of himself incredibly well, and Nathan For You blurs the line between fiction and documentary. The best Nathan For You episodes are a catalog of his strangest and most ingenious schemes, as well as some truly heartwarming endeavours that simpy see Fielder assisting confused consumers or everyday people.

The first season of Nathan Fielders The Rehearsal went off in its own direction, but now that season 2 is confirmed to be happening, it can finally realize the shows juicy original premise. Much like Fielders other series, Nathan for You and The Curse, The Rehearsal is a totally unique TV experiment thats unlike any other show on the air. Its a documentary series that blurs the line between fiction and reality as it constructs convoluted fantasies to force participants to face their very real problems.
The Rehearsal season 1 started out with a fascinating conceit of using elaborate setups to prepare people for difficult situations. But season 1 quickly deviated from that premise and became a full-time parenting simulation. HBO renewed The Rehearsal for a second season way back in 2022 after season 1 aired. A24 has released the first trailer for the upcoming horror/comedy "Y2K." Yes, that title is very direct in that this film deals with the infamous turn of the millennium, when people all around the world were concerned that technology was going to go haywire at the stroke of midnight on December 31, 1999. When the calendar rolled over to the year 2000 in real life, it was all for nothing. However, "Saturday Night Live" alum Kyle Mooney presents us with a very different scenario in his feature directorial debut.
The trailer kicks off like a pretty run-of-the-mill teen comedy, with a boy pining for a girl, finally getting his chance to make a move at a high school party full of cool kids. It just so happens that this party is taking place on New Year's Eve in 1999, and as soon as midnight rolls around, everything changes. In this alternate reality, everything goes wrong and heads roll.

The upcoming show is not a reboot, but a new addition to the Dunder Mifflin universe, and will star Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.

It's officially official: We are returning to the "Office" universe. Yes, we say universe because NBC's beloved sitcom isn't being revived or rebooted. Rather, the powers that be have opted to craft a spin-off of sorts set in the same world as the American version of "The Office," albeit centered on a new cast of characters in a new location. Per a press release, the series is set to begin filming in July for an eventual release on the streaming service Peacock, and the first plot details have been revealed.
The currently untitled "Office" spin-off hails from Greg Daniels, who officially came on board to develop the project last year. He also adapted the original British "Office" series for American television. Daniels is working alongside "Nathan for You" co-creator Michael Koman. A new mockumentary series set in the world of “The Office” is not only being developed — but was just picked up by Peacock. “The Office” creator Greg Daniels and “Nathan for You” co-creator Michael Koman’s untitled project has been ordered to series, produced by Utv.

After more than proving his directing mettle with Nathan For You and The Rehearsal, Nathan Fielder entered another echelon with The Curse, helming seven episodes (including the mind-bending finale). Now, the comedian, actor, writer, and director has notched another step in his filmmaking ascendancy with the announcement of his feature directorial debut.
THR reports he’ll reteam with The Curse star and producer Emma Stone and her company Fruit Tree for Checkmate, which A24 has picked up. With Fielder on board to direct and Stone on as producer, the film is an adaptation from a forthcoming book by Ben Mezrich, whose works have been adapted into The Social Network and Dumb Money.

One of the most bizarre TV series to ever air since David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks: The Return,” and certainly one of the oddest shows of this decade, is Showtime’s “The Curse,” which could potentially have more in store.
Created by deadpan comedian Nathan Fielder and filmmaker Benny Safdie (“Uncut Gems”) and starring Fielder and Emma Stone (both of them also executive producers along with Safdie), “The Curse,” which premiered last fall on Showtime, is a satirical black comedy thriller.

When asked about the wild Curse finale, co-creator and star Nathan Fielder replies: “It’s hard to talk about, too, because it’s a show where a story could potentially continue.” Emma Stone and Fielder hinted at the possibility of another season, with Fielder mentioning that the story is mapped out beyond the first season. Fielder does not want to spoil is Asher returns for season 2.
The Curse season 2 gets an unexpected update following the show's wild and divisive finale. Consisting of ten episodes, and debuting on Showtime in November 2023, The Curse is created by Nathan Fielder, known for Nathan For You and HBO's The Rehearsal, and Uncut Gems co-director Benny Safdie, with Emma Stone as an executive producer. The story focuses on how an alleged curse upends the relationship of a married couple, Asher (Fielder) and Whitney (Stone), as they try to launch an HGTV reality series centered on philanthropy and environmental housing.

The Office reboot from original developer Greg Daniels and Michael Koman (of Nathan for You) is moving along and has made major casting picks. Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore are confirmed to star in the new series, set at a different office location. Gleeson has starred in popular franchises like Harry Potter and Star Wars, while Impacciatore wowed as the White Lotus hotel manager in season two.
The world of Dunder Mifflin has more offices than just the Scranton, Pa branch formerly led by Michael Scott. Greg Daniels (who developed the original U.S. version of The Office) and Michael Koman (of Nathan For You) set up a writers' room in January 2024 to work on the next iteration of the series, which will take place at a different office location in the company. The first round of casting has been confirmed — Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore are confirmed to star in the show.

The new series that will serve as a follow-up to the American version of The Office has found its first cast members. As of now, the series hasn't been officially greenlit just yet, but if it lands a series order, the show will star Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore.
Per THR, the two actors would be part of a larger ensemble cast, as was the case with the previous version of The Office. Gleeson is known in part for his roles in major franchises, which includes playing General Armitage Hux in the Star Wars sequel trilogy along with Bill Weasley in the Harry Potter films. He's also been nominated for a Golden Globe for the TV series The Patient --- which just so happened to co-star The Office's Steve Carell. Curb Your Enthusiasm was created by David, who also stars in the show as a fictionalized version of himself. It originated as a one-hour special filmed in 1999 titled Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm. The special was so well received that HBO ordered it to series. While it may have been quite some time since fans of The Office were asking for a reboot of the series with the original cast, there were no updates that would indicate it was ever in the cards. But recently, fans of the show were treated to the news that series creator Greg Daniels has a brand new offering for the audience in the form of his new project.
A still from The Office
While this is wonderful news, some people were still a little upset that they wouldn’t get to see Steve Carell reprise his iconic role as Michael Scott in the new series.
Yet again, fans were treated to good news when Daniels revealed that while his new creation might be completely original, it will be set in the same universe as his previous show, which has got fans hopeful for some of the iconic characters to return on screen.

As “The Office” showrunner Greg Daniels looks to create a new series in the world of Dunder Mifflin, he’s tapped “Nathan for You” co-creator Michael Koman to help lead the project, sources tell Variety.
Daniels and Koman would serve as co-creators of the prospective series, which has not yet been greenlit to series and is still in development at Universal Television. Deadline reports that Daniels has teamed up with Michael Koman, co-creator of Nathan For You, for this new Office series.
The new series would not be a reboot of The Office but take place in the same universe, just set in a new office with new characters. "Scott's Tots" episode of The Office is one of the most cringeworthy sitcom moments, as Michael embarrassingly breaks a promise to pay for students' college tuition. Ross trying to kiss his cousin Cassie in Friends is uncomfortable and creepy, regardless of their biological relationship. Liz mistaking Stewart for a child in 30 Rock is cringeworthy, especially when she lies about ruffling his hair to get his attention.
There are countless cringeworthy moments in sitcoms, but some stand out more than others, for better or worse. Situational comedies allow for all manner of potential instances to happen, and while they are very funny, there are times when the humor is lost, and the scene is just plain uncomfortable. While these cringeworthy moments are often memorable for years to come and can be found in some of the best TV shows of all time, it doesn't change the fact that they're difficult to watch.

Fans of Nathan Fielder know how a little bit too good he is at making you feel uncomfortable. The comedic actor has an incredibly dry delivery with the bravery and commitment of someone like Sasha Baron Cohen, whom Fielder has actually worked with on Who is America? Fielder’s Comedy Central show, Nathan For You, brought his illustrious brand of cringe comedy to a grand audience, and HBO’s The Rehearsal took it to a new level. Recently, Fielder has partnered with Benny Safdie to try his hand at more scripted narrative comedy with the abstract Showtime series The Curse, which paired Fielder up with Emma Stone.
The response to The Curse has been naturally divisive. However, one vocal supporter of the show, whom people may not have seen coming is Christopher Nolan. According to Variety, the Academy Award-nominated director of Oppenheimer recently moderated a Q&a for the show...

Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie co-created and star in the genre-bending series The Curse, which has received critical acclaim. Christopher Nolan praised Fielder's previous work, including the docu-comedy series The Rehearsal, and Safdie's collaborations with his brother on independent cinema projects. Nolan described The Curse as unlike anything he's seen on television before, comparing it to groundbreaking shows like Twin Peaks and The Prisoner, and expressed anticipation for its climax.
Nathan Fielder has a big fan in Christopher Nolan. The Oppenheimer director recently moderated a Q&a with Fielder and Benny Safdie about their Showtime series The Curse. Fielder and Safdie co-created the genre-bending series and star alongside Emma Stone. While introducing the two, Nolan referenced another of Fielder's series: The Rehearsal. Fielder created, wrote, directed, and starred in the docu-comedy series that sees ordinary people rehearse difficult conversations or situations on sets and actors.

The Curse is unlike anything seen on television before, according to Christopher Nolan. Emma Stone's performance in The Curse is amazing and lacks vanity, drawing viewers in, per Nolan. The Curse breaks expectations, delivering a unique and potentially long-lasting experience.
Christopher Nolan shares massive praise for The Curse, a satire show led by Emma Stone and Nathan Fielder. Consisting of ten episodes, and debuting on Showtime this past November, The Curse is created by Fielder, known for Nathan For You and HBO's The Rehearsal, and Uncut Gems co-director Benny Safdie. The story focuses on how an alleged curse upends the relationship of married couple, Asher (Fielder) and Whitney (Stone), as they try to launch an HGTV reality series centered on philanthropy and environmental housing.
Showtime shared a Q&a, moderated by Nolan, in which the Oppenheimer and Tenet director praised their work on the genre-mashing comedy.
