A riveting tale of love, friendship, and revenge is coming to Netflix in the form of the new K-Drama, Hierarchy. The teen drama is set in a prestigious school where only high-class students get admission until an exchange student arrives with a scholarship.
Though the story does give out Elite vibes, the Korean setting makes it a promising watch. The stellar cast featured in the show further makes it highly anticipated. Here is all you should know about Netflix’s Hierarchy: its release date, storyline, and cast.
What is Hierarchy About?
The series tells the story of Jooshin High School, an esteemed institution dominated by two students: Jeong Jae-i, called the queen, and her boyfriend, Kim Ri-an, labelled the king. Their rule is undisputed until Kang Ha, a scholarship student with a grudge, gets transferred to the school.

New insights are still being unearthed after Netflix dumped the viewership data for nearly its entire catalog from the first half of 2023, which includes more than 18,000 titles.
One of those observations is that young adult and female-centric content are doing especially well for the streamer. In fact, though The Night Agent is ranked No. 1 in terms of hours viewed, that’s really only because the data separates individual seasons of a series. Ginny & Georgia was actually the most-watched title from January to June on Netflix, with a combined 967.2M hours viewed between Seasons 1 and 2.
Season 2 of Ginny & Georgia debuted on January 5, and it alone racked up 665.1M hours viewed.
Season 1 tallied 302.1M (aka 30M “views”), likely reinvigorated by those catching up before watching the new episodes, as well as audiences who were introduced to the title for the first time.

For the first time ever, Netflix has published an engagement report for the movies and TV shows available on the streaming service. This report includes both original and licensed content and lists the total hours watched for everything that has 50,000 hours or higher, which amounts to more than 18,000 titles. It’s supposedly an effort by Netflix to be more transparent in their user data, likely brought on by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes that called for streaming data to be shared more publicly. However, while this is an important step forward, the report reveals a lot more than just a giant list of numbers.
Shadow and Bone’s Perplexing Cancellation
Given the fact that Shadow and Bone was canceled after its second season, you’d think that the series would be pretty far down in this report. However, season 2 of the series ranks 26th on this list with 192,900,000 hours viewed.

Netflix just gave entertainment analysts an early Christmas present. For the first time, the streamer has shared a program-by-program breakdown of its traffic. The What We Watched report lists the viewership received by more than 18,000 shows and movies during the first half of 2023.
What We Watched represents a major reversal for Netflix, which was previously tight-lipped when it came to specific viewership figures. Instead of sticking to that policy, the entertainment innovator is providing the public with the same data it uses to evaluate its programming.
The advent of the What We Watched report can be partially attributed to the recent WGA and SAG strikes, which turned streamers like Netflix into Hollywood boogeymen. Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos told Variety that viewership data was a prominent topic of discussion during the entertainment industry negotiations, but the strikes were not the “main factor” leading to the release of What We Watched.

The South Korean TV phenomenon goes way beyond Squid Game, as revealed by Netflix’s newly-released landmark viewing data report.

Deadline has calculated that content from South Korea accounted for a combined 3.71 billion hours in the top 100 titles in Netflix’s chart. The table reveals viewing data from the first six months of 2023.

Netflix ripped the curtain wide open on Tuesday, releasing viewership data for nearly its entire catalog of original and acquired content.
The streamer says this will be a new bi-annual report, with the inaugural spreadsheet capturing viewing time for 18,000 titles (or 99% of the Netflix catalog) from January to June 2023. It is an unprecedented move for any streamer, and it comes on the heels of a ferocious fight for data transparency spearheaded by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA during its contract negotiations with the studios this year. While Netflix co-ceo Ted Sarandos insists the move is not a response to the guilds, the timing certainly raises questions.
However, it is not necessarily surprising that Netflix, of all the streamers, would be the first to release data on this scale. Netflix has been around much longer and likely has a better handle on its own data and success measurements than many of its competitors.

Netflix has released its Top 10 for the week of March 27, and it was little to no surprise that Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston‘s comedy sequel “Murder Mystery 2” entered the English language films chart in first place. After all, the original 2019 movie was such a huge hit for Netflix.
The action-comedy sequel entered the charts with 64.4 million hours viewed, the second-biggest launch for a comedy film with 42 million views, appearing in the Top 10 in 91 countries with it being the #1 movie in more than 60 of those countries.
Right behind it was the original “Murder Mystery” with 24.7 million hours viewed globally, and the previous #1 movie “Luther: The Fallen Sun” with 12.7 million viewing hours. The lack of strong family films in theaters allowed four animated films to get into the Top 10 with Netflix’s “The Magician’s Elephant” leading the pack with 6.3 million viewing hours.

It’s only March, and the action in 2023 has already been amplified to level 100. Marvel has been dominating the genre for the latter half of the last decade, but recently a lot of new players have entered the game with new franchises, top-quality choreography, and interesting storylines that have driven audiences to theaters. Of course, the best example is the “John Wick” franchise, which has surpassed expectations and brought a new generation delight for hand-to-hand combat and bulletproof tailor-made couture suits. In the last three months alone, we have seen large-scale action movies from Bollywood (Pathaan), Vietnam (Furies), Hollywood with chapter 4 of the aforementioned John Wick, and now South Korea has joined with the highly anticipated “Kill Boksoon.” Notably, this one comes closest to “John Wick” in style, plot, and even the couture suits (which are a perfect reason to watch this film). As a fan of Hallyu entertainment, I...

Kill Boksoon is the latest Korean movie to premiere on Netflix, and it also represents acclaimed actress Jeon Do-yeon's first real foray into action. Directed by Byun Sung-hyun (Kingmaker), the film centers on a woman named Gil Boksoon who leads a strange double life, volleying back and forth between a single mother of teenage daughter Jae-young (Kim Si-a) and a revered assassin at Mk Ent. When her latest mission goes sideways, she finds herself being the one hunted and risks a terrible collision of her two separate worlds.
While Jeon has showcased her range throughout a wide array of genres, she is perhaps best known for romances and melodramas, such as the popular series Crash Course in Romance, which is part of Netflix's Korean catalog. While the two projects have nothing to do with each other at first glance, the seasoned actress acknowledged an interesting similarity that connects them...

“The Night Agent” might not be pulling “Wednesday” numbers, but the new thriller series had a very strong first week on Netflix.
The Shawn Ryan-created thriller topped Netflix’s Global Top 10 English TV series list in its first week of availability, with 168.71 million hours viewed. That’s the most for Week 1 of a new Netflix series, English-language or otherwise, since “Wednesday.” And we’re only counting four days of viewing, as “The Night Agent” debuted on a Thursday; Sunday night is Netflix’s weekly cutoff.
Beyond new debuts, “The Night Agent’s” start was the single best week for a show since Season 2 of “Ginny & Georgia” premiered to 180 hours viewed. Last week marked the third-biggest week for the debut of a Netflix show since the streamer started publicizing the Top 10 lists.
“Wednesday,” of course, still ranks at No. 1 in terms of new-series debuts, after it opened to a...

Netflix Top 10 (Week of February 13): ‘You’ and ‘Your Place or Mine’ remain atop charts for 2nd week
Netflix has released the Top 10 viewing numbers for the week of February 13, and without any new high-profile releases last week, the charts mostly remained the same as last time. Penn Badgley’s series “You” and the Reese Withspoon-Ashton Kutcher rom-com “Your Place or Mine” did well again, the latter presumably helped by Valentine’s Day last Tuesday.
The fourth season of “You” ended up in the Top 10 in 88 countries with 64.1 million hours viewed, down from 92 million views its launch week with the first five episodes having 38 million views. The first and third seasons also continue to be watched with 22.4 million and 15.6 million hours, respectively.
By comparison, “Your Place or Mine” increased its views to 52.8 million hours vs. the previous week’s 51.2 million views. Again, the romantic comedy from “The Devil Wears Prada” scribe Aline Brosh McKenna probably got a nice bump from V-Day. Other movies returning to the...

Crash Course in Romance is a South Korean series directed by Yoo Je-won. A funny series that comes to us from South Korea, starring Jeon Do-Yeon and Jung Kyung-ho.
Crash Course in Romance is a series that manages to combine romantic comedy with a more classic and physical comedy based in ingenious dialogue. Briefly, more comedy and crazy situations than in a normal romantic comedy.
Crash Course in Romance (2023)
As happens in Love To Hate You, Crash Course in Romance is a series that, if you like this kind of humor that borders the absurd, will entertain you.
A curious comedy that is also about capitalism and an ironic gaze that is quite entertaining. We loved it and have found it to be very funny, a great and fun way to spend this week just
before Valentine´s Day.
A happy, zestful series that is very amenable and that you...
