This Hallmark romance begins with a familiar situation: coworkers who go together like oil and water. Anna (Alexa PennVega) and Sebastian (Nicholas Bishop) work for a New York ad agency. When they are sent to Paris to sell an important new French client, a small mistake results in the impression that they are married. To their consternation, their charade snowballs, until it threatens everything, including personal relationships.

PennVega and Bishop work well together. Others in the cast have their moments---especially Elie Kaempfen as Andre the hotel clerk who adds some moments of light comedy.

The conflict in the film resolves fairly quickly, but the final scenes are satisfying.

I won't lie, this is a Hallmark romance that grew on me. The reluctant ad campaign team of Anna Bowman and Sebastian Laurent are sent to Paris to win the Durant diamond company's advertising contract for their expansion into the American market, by their boss. The boss was hoping that Sebastian would help Anna get back some of her creativity ("color with all the colors in the box") and that Anna would help Sebastian learn to "color inside the lines". Their styles couldn't be more different, but after a misunderstanding in front of their new potential clients the two have to pretend to be married...even to Sebastian's estranged French family.

The Paris backdrop is truly lovely and the costumes were wonderful! I particularly liked the black and white striped dress worn by Anna in Paris. I thought her friend in Paris was unnecessary, but I did really enjoy the glass of water scene.

This was surprisingly romantic and really grew on me, as initially I wasn't sure about the lead...but I really warmed to their chemistry and highly recommend this slow burn romance. I particularly enjoyed the end as a romantic.

The uncomfortable plot really doesn't suit Paris - if the leads had simply been straightforward colleagues that fell in love whilst interviewing couples at romantic locations for the ad campaign, it would have made better use of the city. Instead the frequent bickering and stressful interactions the two have with each other and secondary characters, is just irritating and spoils memories of the place for those of us who've been. It doesn't make me want to go again, and nor see this production through, and definitely not rewatch. It's a missed opportunity really, as there could have been a great movie produced with this team if the script had been more uplifting.

We have here the start of a classic antipathetic romance, and unlike most antipathetic romances in these Hallmark movies, the writers had the courage to carry the tense relationship deep into the movie ... almost to the end, in fact.

The man (a Frenchman with a disaster in his family's business) develops exorbitantly expensive ideas for ad campaigns. The woman (with a one year disaster of a marriage in her past) is practical and keeps her ad campaign ideas sensible.

Together they're assigned to travel to Paris to secure the account of a French diamond jewelry house who wants to expand into the USA.

The story of their conflicting ideas for the ad campaign needed to win the account drives the movie, and in the end they come to an mutual idea surprisingly easily.

However, the movie is charming, in my mind more because of the older French couple who own the diamond house than the stars.

We are very familiar with this plot, two people are acquainted, co-workers, or friends etc... they pretend to be dating, engaged, or married etc... "A Paris Proposal" happens to take place in a city in France, can't quite remember the name....the two subjects are co-workers with polar opposite personalities. They work for an American company, although he is French, artistic and worldly, whereas she is American, analytical and perfectionistic. Match made in heaven. He has a very strong accent, but it's polished enough that he is understandable.

They fly to Paris and are in the middle of a sales pitch with a major jeweler, when a slight coincidence leads them down a rabbit hole of lies. In the spur of the moment they make the best of a difficult situation, but are now stuck pretending to be married in order to score the deal. Are they capable of fooling everyone, including the antagonist? As the stakes get higher, the ruse begins to unravel.

The leads have sufficient chemistry to make this an interesting film. It is somewhat entertaining, and the background is picturesque with the incomparable cityscape of Paris. Some of the dialogue is lost in translation; you can detect many innuendos and interactions being studded with French influence. That aside, "A Paris Proposal" is charming and delightful. The allure of PenaVega wearing a $23 Million dollar pink diamond and a fashionable dress was reason enough to stick around. Unfortunately, something intangible is missing.

I'm amazed because most people have same types of people getting together but recently we can see people who are so different from eachother and even though there's difference in their characters they still like and love eachother and okay with eachother...this movie is all about love and opposite characters falling in love with eachother and screen presence of these actors and actresses are so real and it's like we're seeing from the couples pov . Other actors and actresses did so well...that boss lady for this main couple...she did so well and we support black women acting and Awesome movie.

Anna Bowman (Alexa PenaVega) and Sebastian Laurent (Nicholas Bishop) are co-workers in an advertising agency and they don't get along. She's a by-the-numbers account manager and he's the creative kind. They are forced to team up for a pitch in Paris. A misunderstanding leads the clients to assume that they are married.

This is a Hallmark romance. It is a little funny when he's insulting her. This is a fine standard fire-and-ice coupling. They need to fight more. I don't get her outfit with the big front flower. She should be dressed like an accountant. That's the premise. They need to stick to it. All in all, this is fine for Hallmark and we get a Paris vacation on top of it.

I was so looking forward to this movie. I really like Alexa PenaVega and the movie was filmed in Paris. Beautiful city and great food.

The movie is about two advertising people trying to get a major France jewelry account and accidentally pose as a married couple. The ads looked funny, but although the one-liners were cute, there was no chemistry between the actors.

I watched for half the movie and gave up. The characters were sooo boring, the story was sooo boring, no chemistry and I just couldn't keep any interest. Terribly disappointed. Total Meh movie.

Hopefully Hallmark starts doing better movies for Alexa PenaVega.

I'm glad I didn't listen to the other snarky reviewer who hated this movie. I absolutely loved this movie. Lately, many of the Hallmark movies seem to have cookie-cutter plots (and I still like those most of the time), but this was fresh. The actors had great chemistry, the music fit the movie very well (I kept Shazaming the songs... they will make a great Parisian playlist), and the scenery in Paris was amazing. I'm sure I'll watch it again soon, I liked it that much! Was it perfect? Of course not, what movie is. But for Hallmark, this was one of their best yet! If you enjoy music, romance, and beautiful scenery, you'll love it! It reminded me of an old fashioned romance.

Hallmark movies that are shot on location are always the best kind, and 'A Paris Proposal' is better than it would otherwise have been thanks to it being shot in the City of Lights rather than somewhere in British Columbia that is standing in for Paris.

I'm not a huge fan of movies where the plot revolved around a fake relationship. They usually aren't done all that well. This is an exception.

Stars Alexa PenaVega and Nicholas Bishop do a good job with a decent script as advertising agency colleagues who are in Paris to land a big contract with a Parisian jeweller. One thing leads to another...and they're suddenly telling everyone they're married.

Truth be told: I didn't think I was going to enjoy this film very much, because of the plot, but I watched it for the authentic Paris setting and the movie grew on me after a while and I actually did enjoy it. The chemistry between PenaVega and Bishop shines through after some early adversarial moments between them.

All of that said, Paris is the real star of this show.

Eh, not a lot of great things to say about this movie. I'll start out saying I really enjoy watching Alexa, especially when she's in a movie without her husband. He's a horrible actor.

Didn't see any chemistry with the two leads in this movie. And yet another "let's lie and pretend we're a couple/married' knowing full well it will all come out in the end. Kind of boring.

Also, when he accidentally spilled the wine on her when they were outside, she in turn threw her whole glass of wine on him! Wondering if that was scripted because it was an awful thing to do. I'd be pissed if I were him.

The story was rather boring. Hope to see Alexa in another movie but hope she picks a better one to do.

I really loved the movie, usually these type of movies get bad reviews because these are peace and love movies, these are for mind healthy people, what is not to like? Acting is good, beautiful people, nice story, maybe if you add some bloody scenes or death people and pistols the reviewers will rate it 10, not me, I started it and couldn't get disconnected, and I watched it with my 21 year old son, and he loved it, I wish they make more movies like these but with the terrible reviewers I guess they won't survive, who are the reviewers anyway? Traumatized people rating a movie in base of their experiences? I never understood reviewers... if I have to watch movies based on what reviewers rate them, I will probably miss most of good movies!

10 stars for the type of movie it is! For this category.

I am in the middle of watching this movie and I love it so far, but you also can tell whoever did the wardrobe for this movie must have been a Sex and The City fan and was inspired...The black and white lined dress with the oversized flower in the front that Alexis wears is almost dead-on for the dress Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) wears in Season 6 when she is in Paris, so I think that is a really neat shout-out to SATC in this Hallmark movie! 💜

Just like in SATC, Alexis PenaVaga's character falls for a man with a French accent as well. The similaries are very nice and refreshing to me as well 😊

It is a beautiful film. For mime, Pont Alexandre III, for mon petit chou and, maybe, for story and performances.

Like many other films, Paris ( in Bulgarian version, to ) is the real character of film. Near diamonds, cliches and effort of reasonable story about a forced lie, an important project, the bad competitioner and the unrealistic final.

Alexa PenaVega offers her familiar character , strong and vulnerable in same measure, Nicholas Bishop proposes a charming sebastian in difficult relation with his family and the reference to Parisian jewellers sounds not so bad.

So, familiar scenes, a too long film and couples in Paris.
