The only reason I’m bringing up a whole other movie here is the thematic similarity and also the revenge-based plot. But the issue with Officer on Duty is the lead’s unlikeable personality. I don’t know about you, but the guy slaps his wife, kicks another woman, threatens to kill his daughter (who ultimately dies), and does a lot of terrible things but is still hailed as a hero—this doesn’t sit right with me.
