As a young girl, Cassidy saw her father killed by a shark while getting her to safety. Now a grown woman, Cassidy is returning to the same stretch of coast near Reunion Island on the anniversary of his death to try to put her nightmares behind her.
Along with her husband Gregg, they’re going out on a charter run by his friend Daemon Benz. On the way out she has a flashback to her grandfather Seamus telling his students “The ocean is a dangerous wonder, you’re a visitor here. You are a guest of their kingdom. Be careful.” It’s the first of many platitudes we’ll hear from him before the film is done.
In the present, as Cassidy, Gregg and the other divers head to their destination,...

The Inhabitant opens with a series of title cards, some over photos of the victims, telling the viewer the story of Lizzy Borden and allegations of possession and a family curse that seems to persist to the present day passed down among her female descendants.
Tara is stressed out. Her boyfriend Carl is planning on attending college at Stanford. Even worse, her home life is a mess, something not even her best friend Suzy can help her deal with. She’s had past issues with depression which has her parents Ben and Emily concerned. That’s not entirely her fault though, she has a newborn brother, and her mother’s sister Diane was committed to an institution for smothering a newborn and burying the body, and...

Is there anything more entertaining than when a man wrestles with an alligator? The answer, of course, is no. And thankfully, we have an exclusive clip of just such a battle, as man named Big Jimbo fights an alligator in a new clip for the new action horror flick, The Flood. Coming courtesy of Lionsgate and Saban Films, and led by Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien, The Flood finds a group of people at the mercy of many a giant, CGI alligator after a hurricane. Check out our exclusive clip from The Flood above.
“After a massive hurricane floods Louisiana, it unleashes a threat even deadlier than the rising water level: a relentless horde of giant hungry alligators,” the official synopsis for The Flood reads. “When a group of in-transit prisoners and their security guards seek shelter in a local prison, they become prey for the flesh-eating attackers. To survive,...

The Flood opens with Sommer and Clarence taking refuge from Hurricane Clarence in an empty building. That might protect them from the rain, but as they find out, the weather isn’t the worst thing about the storm.
The storm also causes a bus transferring a group of dangerous criminals, Big Jim, Floyd, Jox, Angelo and Russel Cody to take refuge for the night in a decrepit small town jail run by Sheriff Jo Newman.
Now if the first paragraph sounds a bit like Crawl and the second one makes you think of the opening of Assault on Precinct 13 you’re not the only one. And I’m sure writers Chad Law and Josh Ridgway were...

The Getback is the latest “Tubi Original”, but I’m not sure that’s really accurate as there’s almost nothing original about this film.
Mal Cooper was a rising star in the police department. Until someone he brought in was found not guilty and Mal took matters into his own hands. Turns out the guy was someone even a cop can’t get away with beating, the son of a senator. The ensuing scandal cost him his job and his wife.
Now he works as a bounty hunter, tracking down bail jumpers for Alexander Rogan. Right now he wants him to bring in Jake Gordon. There’s just one problem, Jake’s testimony could make sure Alonzo Beaumont never leaves prison, so...

Tubi and Mutiny Films have teamed up to create the upcoming thriller The Getback, and Screen Rant is proud to present an exclusive first look. With more content on the way, it will be the first of a four-picture deal between the Fox-owned streaming service and LA-founded production company. While there is no official release date, it won't be long before Tubi drops the news, as they are aiming for a 2023 premiere. Starring Theo Rossi (Sons of Anarchy), the film follows a bounty hunter who must protect a con artist criminal accountant from the cops and mercenaries who have set out to kill him.
Written by Chad Law and Garry Charles, Jared Cohn serves as the movie's director. Cohn has worked on several projects, with a few of his most recent being Vendetta, Lord of the Streets, and Ice Storm. The Getback has a strong main cast with Dermot Mulroney,...

Legendary Naughty by Nature rapper Anthony “Treach” Criss has joined the upcoming action film, “The Getback,” set to air on Tubi this year. “Veep” alum Sufe Bradshaw has also joined.
“The Getback” tells the story of Mal Cooper (Theo Rossi), an ex-cop-turned-bounty hunter hired to bring in a slippery accountant whose testimony is crucial to the trial a major gang boss. The pair must work and trust each other to slip by crooked killer cops and mercenaries out for blood.
Treach plays Alonzo Beaumont, “a notorious gangster awaiting his trial date in jail, whose entire case may (or may not) depend on the successful retrieval of his flighty accountant,” per the official description.
Bradshaw meanwhile plays Mal Cooper’s former partner, Detective Hatch, who helps Cooper from inside the police to learn who is trying to have the witness murdered.
Treach is no stranger to acting. His credits date back...
