Demi Lovato is back with her fourth documentary “Child Star,” and you’re going to see quite a few familiar faces in it.

The singer does step in front of the camera for this doc, now streaming on Hulu, but she also makes her directorial debut, directing alongside Nicola Marsh. PEr the official synopsis, “Through celebrity interviews, vérité scenes and archival footage, this film deconstructs the stages of earlier stardom and looks at the entertainment system over the last century.”

Despite a minor 30-minute delay, Demi Lovato’s latest Hulu doc “Child Star” premiered Thursday night in Hollywood, proving to be her most intimate and cinematic self-examination yet.

Following in the footsteps of “Stay Strong,” “Simply Complicated” and “Dancing With the Devil,” Lovato enlisted help from her fellow famous former child stars for her co-directorial debut (along with filmmaker Nicola Marsh) — and she got legitimate A-list names for it: Raven-Symoné, Drew Barrymore, Christina Ricci, Kenan Thompson, Alyson Stoner and JoJo Siwa.

Demi Lovato already has three documentaries under her belt, and she’s back with a fourth this week — this time stepping into the director’s chair for the first time.

Directing alongside Nicola Marsh, Lovato steered “Child Star,” a documentary detailing some of the struggles she faced growing up in the industry. But, where her previous three docs focused solely on Lovato, this one brings in more people.

The singer and former Disney star sits down with other child stars from different generations, including “Yellowjackets” star Christina Ricci and Gen Z pop star JoJo Siwa, and digs into what their experiences were like growing up in the industry at different times than she did.

Om Friday (Sept. 13), the 32-year-old entertainer dropped the song “You’ll Be Ok, Kid,” the original song from her upcoming Child Star documentary.

“The sharks in the water will teach you to swim / The thorns on the roses will thicken your skin / People might hurt you and break promises,” Demi sings. “But, darlin’, I promise you this / You’ll be okay, kid / You’ll be okay, kid, mm.”

In a statement, Demi opened up about writing the song while working on the documentary, which she co-directed with Nicola Marsh.
