The Cloncurry bank robberies of 1932 were a well executed and cunning robbery. The case was never solved and the money never found. There has been much speculation and theories about it over the years and the events are one that leave many possibilities for an entertaining yarn. To hear that there is a film that explores this premise is an exciting prospect.
Unfortunately this short film squanders this premise and leaves the view ultimately disappointed. While the beauty of the Australian outback comes through, little else does. The soundtrack of hip-hop music is disjointed and sorely out of place; while the characters and plot give us little reason to feel sympathy or hold our interest.
