Some timeless anime is not for all ages, with seinen anime adaptations originally geared towards adult male audiences in mind, being exceptionally provocative experiences. Seinen anime has a reputation for sparking fierce debate among connoisseurs of the medium, with everything from action to horror to sports and drama encompassed by the many manga it adapts. While the medium's greats are far more numerous, the best seinen anime boasts experiential satisfaction, artistic innovation, and usually a sophisticated adaptation that elevates the source material to greater heights.
Seinen anime adaptations gained particular prominence in the 1990s with high-profile adaptations of some of the best manga of the era. Many of the best series are short-lived but have long-tail buzz potential as a discussion topic among fans due to their poignant and intense narratives or iconic quirks of the adapting studios and staff. A new trailer was unveiled for Studio A-Cat's upcoming racing anime, Highspeed Étoile, providing more footage and details, including an official date. The 3D CGI show, which was first revealed in the summer of 2022, has finally locked onto April 5 for its Japanese broadcast. Given that Mf Ghost's second season was promised for later this year, racing enthusiasts will continue to enjoy the resurgence of the sub-genre that began in 2023.
The trailer can be seen on YouTube on the anime's official channel. Highspeed Étoile changes several anime traditions by going all in on 3D CGI to animate everything, and provide a predominately female cast.

If you're an Initial D fan, you don't need a reason to collect reproductions of the show's many cool cars. But if the cool reproduction just happens to be useful in everyday life? Even better—like this wireless mouse styled after Ryosuke Takahashi's iconic Fc. The white Rx-7 model is the latest in a line of wireless computer mice replicating cars from Shuichi Shigeno's popular series. Previous releases include Keisuke's Fd and Takumi Fujiwara's legendary 86 . Related: Initial D And Mf Ghost See the Road Ahead with Tie-In Glasses Line Officially licensed by both Mazda and Kodansha, this Red Suns replica is both Usb and Bluetooth compatible. When the mouse's power is turned on, the car's front and rear lights can also be turned on. Buttons and a scroll wheel live on the car's front hood. In addition to the mouse itself, orders come with one of...

Initial D is releasing a stylish new set of eyeglasses as part of its latest merchandise collaboration.
Yabushita, a company dedicated to eyewear, recently unveiled its official "Initial D AE86 Image Glasses" on its main website. As the name suggests, they feature a design inspired by the vehicle of main protagonist, Takumi Fujiwara, who drives a modified Toyota Sprinter AE86 in the series. Due to the specialized design, the glasses can be worn for either fashion or utility, as the lenses can be switched out by an optician. Currently, the reference retail price, including tax, is 25,300 yen (roughly US$166). Prospective buyers will be able to purchase them starting in March 2024.

This Fall season Crunchyroll has started releasing episodes for Mf Ghost and Overtake! The Man Who Races, giving audiences not one but two racing anime shows after years without them. The genre hasn't had much representation in recent years, so it would be a waste to skip out on either while they're airing. This may be the best chance to watch racing anime and understand the allure of cars in animation.
It's been nearly a decade since Initial D's last season was broadcast, and since then car shows have been a minority and out of sight. It's, therefore, surprising to have two different racing shows turn up this season. But this only means there is no better opportunity to see what the genre has to offer to new audiences. Crunchyroll steps up and delivers two racing anime shows that will surely pique the interest of fans.

The Fall 2023 season of anime is about to start, and here’s everything new coming to Crunchyroll this season. Crunchyroll is one of the biggest streaming services for anime in the world, so every season, they set up an exciting lineup of shows with premieres and continuing series, including some of the anime that are expected to be the biggest hits. The Fall 2023 season has been no different in that regard, and Crunchyroll has already announced a slew of new anime that they will stream over the next few months.
There’s a lot to be excited about with Crunchyroll’s new slate of anime. While there is plenty of new anime landing on Crunhchyroll this season, some fan-favorite series will continue airing from the previous one, including One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Detective Conan. Also, the majority of these anime will all receive dubs in English, Latin American Spanish,...

One of the most iconic anime of the 1990s and early 2000s is Initial D – it's even recognized by non-anime fans. The classic drift racing series quickly became a firm part of the international anime landscape, thanks in part to its somewhat jarring use of early CGI and its pulse-pounding Eurobeat soundtrack. Despite how enduring the property has been throughout the decades, its mostly overlooked sequel hasn't raced to the same type of success.
Mf Ghost began publication in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in 2017, over 20 years after its predecessor started. Unfortunately, it hasn't had nearly as much mainstream success or recognition as Initial D, however. This stems from the quality of the work itself to how much the first series was a product of its time. Now that Mf Ghost is getting an anime adaptation, its relation to Initial D and comparative lack of success is worth exploring.
