Highest Grossing Peruvian Movie of All Time

We begin with Carlos Alcantara doing a stand up of his life before he became famous with his big break in the show 'Pataclaun' where he went onto fame alongside a lot of his other peers in Peruvian showbiz.

Alcantara, born in the sixties on a government housing project in the centre of Lima where he grew up in the seventies and came to fore in the eighties takes us along on a ride of nostalgia, music, clothes, hairstyles and romantic interests which he shares with his close buddies from the neighbourhood. The basis of the film is it doesn't matter where you start but where you can end up if you don't give up.

It struck a chord with the Peruvian public of a time past that will probably never return, of those times there were many bad aspects of life in Peru but Alcantara keeps it relatively light and the laughs are constant. A good film and well worth a watch.
