I'm late to the party. But just recently played and finished this over the weekend. The game is incredibly enjoyable, engaging storyline and characters. Wish the game was longer but for the size it gives a great story and gameplay experience. Wish there was a sequel.
This game is great. I thought it was well structured and I never thought it was short. Hope there is a sequel. Combats great, shooting mechanics are good and so is the story and graphics. I'm not complaining and hope there's another.
This is probably the longest demo I've ever played.
This game isn't bad like many would have you think. Actually, the sole reason I bought it was to see if all the naysayers were right.
They weren't.
The game is visually gorgeous, set in a beautifully crafted industrial / steampunkish London with a set of interesting characters, superb voice acting and an arsenal of interesting weapons. Some characters could definitely use more character development, or more screen time, but that's nothing to mope about.
People often complained about the shortness of this game, and the lack of action. While it is true that the game is a bit short, the lack of action is 100% not true. I just played through the the game and witnessed with my own eyes how action packed it actually is. Honestly, the calm moments where people would just talk and sort things out were sometimes over far too quickly for my taste, so I find THOSE moments lacking, not the action.
Other minor issues I had with it is the lack of lycan / half breed encounters. I hoped to see them more.
In short, don't listen to the negative criticism (especially when they give a 4/10 or lower rating score) and certainly give this game a try. It's interesting, and sets the stage for a possible sequel, which I hope we'll all get to see.

Greetings from Lithuania.
I just finished "The Order: 1886" (2015) after i picked it up for 3.99 USD couple of weeks ago. Needless to say, i knew exactly what this game is before buying it. I'm truly feel sorry for those who bought this thing upon its release and paid 60 USD for it, by not knowing that his game is basically one of the most emptiest games there ever was.
Sure "The Order: 1886" has amazing graphics, a good cover shooter mechanics, nice sound design and a pretty good story. Is that makes for a great game? In this game's case - definitely no. There isn't anything that will ever will want you to come back to this game after you finish it in like 7 hours - this is how long this game takes to beat. The ending was highly abrupt and simply unfinished, and besides of cover shooting and some pictures seeing - you will literally won't have what to do in this game - its a beautiful empty picture.
Overall, i liked "The Order: 1886" as a highly basic cover shooter that looked like a movie. Other then that, there is nothing in this game that will hook you up. Like i said, "The Order" is a beautifully looking empty picture, nothing more - nothing less.
