On a Q&A following the red carpet premiere in Berlin, director Timo Vuorensola revealed that he might be working on a script for a third movie. Udo Kier's immediate response to this was "am I in it?", to which Timo's answer was "Yes".
The producers launched 2 Indiegogo crowd-funding campaigns to help fund this movie- The second crowd-funding campaign raised over $500,000. Even though the movie made millions of dollars and is already being sold, backers have yet to see any promised rewards.
The members of the Vril society appear to be Roman emperor Caligula, Joseph Stalin, Pope Gregory VIII, Osama Bin Laden, Adolf Hitler, Mark Zuckerberg, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Genghis Khan, North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un, Mao Zedong, Ugandan dictator Idi Amin Dada and Finnish President Urho Kekkonen. Also, the way they are sitting resembles Leonardo DaVinci's The Last Supper.
The movie took almost 5 years to make.
This is actually the second time that Udo Kier plays Adolf Hitler. He has previously appeared as Hitler in 100 Jahre Adolf Hitler - Die letzte Stunde im Führerbunker (1989).
