    Amateurish documentary

Watched on Netflix. Good wildlife sightings, but the lack of context, insight and repeated use of "cute" as a description for animals spoiled what had potential to be entertaining viewing. Add amateurish camera work, embarrassingly amateur editing and ghastly colour on UK TV and it isn't worth watching. I've seen better home videos!

Perfect for kids, not so much for adults.

So initially I was disappointed with this show. Just as other reviewers have said, the commentary leaves much to be desired. But despite watching nearly every wildlife documentary on Netflix, this is the only one my 2yr old asks for specifically.... over and over and over. I might have every episode memorized by now. It's a small price to pay to keep her away from cartoons or other useless kids shows.

Interesting wildlife footage but shocking narrative

Having worked on a reserve close to Phinda, the reserve was well known to be a jewel in the crown of Zululand. This documentary series surely isn't. Commentary is lacking any insight, filled with lots of "cute" or other fluffy fillers.

Actually couldn't finish the elephant episode, but watching the whole rhino one was enough to know not to bother with the rest. Visit to a school over 600km's away for what? Marabou storks were actually woolly necked storks and a baby crocodile looked more like a terrapinIn the very next scene.

Nice idea, shockingly poor quality control and execution!
