Update, with video: Kamala Harris made her first appearance on The View as Democratic presidential nominee, in a very friendly setting where she outlined some of her policy priorities and got a chance to respond to rival Donald Trump’s falsehoods about the administration’s hurricane response.
“It is the height of irresponsibility and frankly, callousness,” Harris said of Trump’s claims that Fema funds were being directed to migrants, among other things.
“Lives are literally at stake right now,” she said, adding that Trump was “playing political games for the sake of himself.”
Harris also commented on the oncoming Hurricane Milton, which is threatening central Florida, and the claim by the state’s governor, Ron DeSantis, who said this morning that she has never called regarding any of the storms until now. She has called him “selfish” for not taking the call.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse pulled the plug on their “Love Earth” summer tour earlier this year, citing an undisclosed illness that impacted more than one member of the group. Now, Young has revealed more about the decision to cut the tour short.
In a Zoom Q&a for subscribers to the Neil Young Archives, the singer and songwriter offered a more detailed account of what went down. “A couple of us really hit a wall,” Young said. “I just woke up one morning on the bus and I said, ‘I can’t do this, I gotta stop.’ I felt sick when I thought of going onstage. My body was telling me, ‘You gotta stop.’ And so I listened to my body.”

It’s one of those perfect Cannes mornings. The sun is shining, there’s a slight breeze off the sea and the streets are not yet stuffed with pedestrians hustling towards screenings or official festival business. Lucas Bravo matches the city’s calm energy when he emerges from a back room of an airy second-floor apartment just a stone’s throw from the Croisette. He takes a seat on the sofa opposite The Hollywood Reporter for what will be his first conversation about his Cannes Film Festival selection, The Balconettes.
Writer, filmmaker and actress Noémi Merlant, known for Portrait of a Lady on Fire, directed Balconettes, which centers on a Marseille neighborhood during a summer heat wave. Three roommates gleefully meddle in the lives of their neighbors from their balcony until a late-night drink turns into a bloody affair. Bravo — who broke out as dashing love interest Gabriel on Netflix...

The docs at Seattle Grace have treated hysterical pregnancies, fractured penises, exploding arteries, fatal hiccups and babies born with hearts on the outside — and those aren’t even the strangest cases they’ve encountered. Here are 10 of the most bizarre medical maladies writers have concocted in the first 100 episodes of “Grey’s Anatomy”:
1. “If Tomorrow Never Comes” (season one): A woman with a 69-pound tumor protruding from her abdomen faces slim chances under the knife. She also faces the disgust and criticism of a judgmental Alex, who doesn’t understand why she waited so long to seek treatment.
2. “Into You Like a Train” (season two): Two train-wreck victims — a beautiful young woman and a middle-aged father — are impaled by a pole. Removing the pole will kill one and probably both. The doctors must extract it from the person with better odds first.
3. “As We Know It” (season two...
