While most television shows are lucky to reach the century mark during their entire run, today, April 10, marked a major milestone for “Beyond the Gates” as the brand new daytime drama series taped its 100th episode.

“So this happened today. 100 episodes! Wow. So much love to my #BeyondTheGates fam,” said series creator and head writer Michele Val Jean in a post she shared on X (formerly Twitter) that was accompanied by a photo of a celebratory cake embedded with shots of the cast/crew. “You guys amaze me every day. Here’s to the next hundred,” she added.

The caption on the cake itself read, “Cheers to 100 episodes!”

Surging week-to-week, “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2.716 million), which just got renewed for more three seasons at CBS, ranked third among unrounded Women 18-49 during the week of March 31-April 4, 2025 with its 0.33 rating pushing it ahead of the 0.32 rating for “Today 3rd Hour” (1.840 million) and the 0.31 rating for “The Young and the Restless” (3.081 million), Nielsen data shows.

The half-hour soap was up +0.09 (0.33 rating vs. 0.24 rating) over its performance one week earlier and up +0.08 (0.33 rating vs. 0.25 rating) compared to its performance during the same week last year in the key sales demographic, marking the show’s second best performance of the season in the demo and the first time this season it has ranked third, behind only perennial leader “The Price is Right” (3.647 million / 4.182 million).

The good news is that poor Laura Peterson (Destiny Love) is alive. Ever since week one of Btg, she has been laid up and recovering from being run off the road. The bad news is that she’s not going home from the hospital anytime soon. Apparently, she had a cardiac episode, aka a heart attack.

And she has an infection that is going to take a lot of time to clear — weeks and weeks, even. So, there is no going back to work for her right now.

In 2022, CBS renewed The Bold and the Beautiful for two more seasons. Last year, the network renewed this serial for just one year and has now introduced a new soap in daytime, Beyond the Gates.
