Gregor Fisher and Greg McHugh star in Scottish sitcom Only Child, and the BBC has released a first trailer. More here.
Gregor Fisher will always be inextracably intertwined with Rab C. Nesbitt, the permanently plastered Glaswegian festering in squalor alongside long suffering wife Mary Doll, played by Elaine C. Smith. The show became so popular that writer Ian Pattison adapted it into a stage show, and stars like Sylvester McCoy, Stanley Baxter and Richard E. Grant appeared in the show. Series 3 episode Touch features a very early television appearance by David Tennant, who guest stars as barmaid Davina.
As we approach the festive season, Fisher also features in arguably the sweetest story in Richard Curtis’ Love Actually, about the friendship between his character Joe and Bill Nighy’s rock star Billy Mack.
Now though? Gregor Fisher is returning to the small screen for sitcom Only Child.

Tom Burke, who played the sort of Mad Max-esque character Praetorian Jack in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, and Maurizio Lombardi, who was recently seen as Inspector Pietro Ravini in the Netflix series Ripley, have been added to the cast of the Prime Video limited series Blade Runner 2099 – which is, of course, a continuation of the franchise that began with the 1982 Ridley Scott film Blade Runner and then got a long-awaited follow-up called Blade Runner 2049, which had Denis Villeneuve at the helm, in 2017. Deadline notes that Burke and Lombardi will both have recurring roles on the show, but details on their characters have not been revealed.
We’ve previously heard that Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Hunter Schafer (Euphoria) are set to star in the series alongside Dimitri Abold (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy), Katelyn Rose Downey...

What If…? season 3 doesn’t have a premiere date yet, but Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios’ Head of Streaming, Television and Animation, has indicated that it might not be far off – and it might even be released before the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series premiere in November. Winderbaum has also indicated that What If…? season 3 might be the end of the run for this show, wrapping it up as a trilogy.
Marvel’s What If…? season 2 has the following synopsis: The Watcher continues the journey as our guide through the vast multiverse, introducing brand-new and familiar faces throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The animated anthology series questions, revisits and twists classic...
