Lady Tresillian prepares to make changes to her will, Mr Treves presides over it. Kay discovers that she has a fight to keep hold of her man, as Neville gets closer to Audrey. Detective Leach survives his 'accident' and finds himself investigating a murder at Gull's Point.
I'm enjoying it, but I'm going to say it again, it's very slow moving, sure it's visually decadent and well acted, but for a whodunnit, it takes and awfully long time to get to the dunnit part.
One thing that's apparent in this second episode, the substancial alteration to Audrey's character, she's much changed from the book, here she's more bold, more confrontational, she's the one playing a dangerous game.
The one thing that they have captured is Neville's character, he's the ultimate cad, he simply doesn't care for the impact of his actions.
The visuals once again are terrific, Ella Lily Hyland looks divine in that red outfit, the height of sophistication. The house looks amazing, the costume designers deserve an award.
Two people really stood out for me, firstly Jack Farthing, he's excellent, those actions of his, wow, but the star of the show so far, definitely Anjelica Huston, she's a cut above, what a talent.
It's good, just a bit on the slow side.
7/10.
