10's? Really?
Are you cast members or friends giving this a 10 score?
I thought that a 10 score was reserved for 12 Angry Men or Gone with the Wind or Ben- Hur.
This movie is not a 10.
I rate it as a 2 and I will explain why.
First of all, there should be a rule or a law that prohibits someone who writes, acts and directs at the same time. The end result is nothing short of an ego trip.
3 months ago, Megapolis was released with a budget of 125 Million. It was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, a respected and established director. And the reason it failed so badly, was because rather than stick to his profession of directing, Francis thought he could write. And so he wrote a script that was a train wreck from the start.
And so I just finished watching your film, and sir it is not a 10.
The acting was over rated and amateurish at best, no emotional investment in any single actor what so ever.
Sets were ok.
Sound was also ok...
But the writing was terrible. How did you think you could write act and direct yourself? It cannot be done.
Actors should act.
Directors should direct.
Writers should write.
When you attempt all 3, you have zero chance of achieving anything positive that commands your audience. And the reason is that your ego blinds you to the truth of how bad the movie is assembled.
Your editing is sub par and there is no directing that one can point at. Had you only written this ill conceived script and allowed a professional director to direct it, they would have given you actual feedback and maybe salvaged this film.
It is what is wrong with Hollywood today. A one man jack of all trades, master of none gets an idea, finds some funding and thinks they can do all 3 roles at ones.
It cannot be done.
Avoid this movie, it is not worth a score more than 2. And before you get this comment blacklisted or deleted, please be get a few objective critics to look it over and have then be as blunt and as honest as I was, maybe you can learn from them and never do all 3 roles at one again.
