No there are no lessons to learn, and yes the plot is razor thin, but with the rest of today's programming having adult concepts sprinkled into their shows it is refreshing to have a clean show that my kids can watch. There needs to be more programming like this out there.
I simply hate my life when my children have this on the TV. I appreciate the thought, but the acting is awful, the timing is awful, and the way they portray the characters is horrible. The two characters who are supposed to be the "good looking" ones are portrayed as airheads. I just can't. But, there's no cussing or sexual themes, so I suppose I'll allow it.
I think this series is reasonable and good. I know it has some forced jokes and a lot of plot holes, but it's a good series to pass the time when you're bored. I don't think it's bad. People say it's not good because it's childish and bad, but this is a children's series and children should evaluate it, not adults.
Example series for all ages, children must evaluate series for ages 10 and older, pre-teens must evaluate series for ages 12+, 14+, 16+, and 18+, teenagers and adults must evaluate
In my opinion, this series doesn't deserve the hate it gets because it is good, give it a chance.
The End.

I think that this show has really good humor for what it is, an interesting set up, and fun dynamics. I this show, I really do, I can't help it. The issue is that this show is very problematic. A lot of it reply on characters being so dumb it is suppose to be funny, stereotypes, being rude/a bad person. And sexulization. A good example of this is that there is a pretty 14 year old girl as a main character who is all about being super dumb, getting whatever she wants due to being pretty while refusing to work, and having feminine interests. It is fine to be a person like that but it is portrayed in a very unrealistic way and promoting bad stereotypes. On top of that all the male characters sexualize and objectify her on the regular, it is just seen as normal dispite being problematic. I would not turn this on for a child but I will use this as a guilty pleasure.
Look, this show isn't winning any emmys, but I think the writing is way more interesting than other kids shows. I watch when my kids have it on and I can't quite predict the punch lines they deliver - they stay just half a step ahead of the easy one-two punch. Of course the premise is ridiculous but it's a ridiculous show! It's magic realism. It's fantasy. It reminds me of Gilligan's island humour but way more enjoyable. I don't mind it as a mindless show for my kids to watch - don't be so hard on it, guys.
