According to IMDb, Woody Woodpecker is coming to theaters in 2017 in his first ever movie. Which is odd, since we've heard little to nothing at all about it. Today, we have a look at the annoying bird courtesy of Imp Awards. This one-sheet is for international audiences, which has us wondering if this is even going to get a proper release on America shores.
The Woody Woodpecker movie is taking on an environmentally conscious theme, and will tackle social issues with a deft hand at the comedy fans have come to know and love. The plot finds the hyperactive red-head entering a turf war with a big city lawyer who wants to tear down his home. This is all in an effort to build a house to flip. From the poster, we'd assume that this is a fully animated CGI movie. But we'd be wrong, as it's listed as being...

A new international trailer lands for the Woody Woodpecker movie...
Update: It's been a while, but Woody Woodpecker completists, fear no more. A new international trailer for the upcoming movie has been released. And you can view it right here...
You are very welcome.
Previously (December 2016)
Thanks to Universal's Brazillian wing (Wing! get it? Like a bird's wing!) here is the first trailer for the live-action Woody Woodpecker movie. In the sense, that is, that the movie is live-action, because the Woodpecker most definitely is not.
The film's director is Alex Zamm, previously culpable for Jingle All the Way 2, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, Inspector Gadget 2... You know what? That's a lot of number twos.
Zamm did direct some episodes of the Upright Citizen's Brigade TV show and he does have Timothy Omundensen here - the bearded man getting gunged, previously popular in Psych and Gallivant.

With WWE Studios churning out films like Jingle All The Way 2 and The Marine 4 with all the grace of a diseased sea lion vomiting mackerel onto the backseat of a Toyota Yaris, you’d be forgiven for thinking that wrestlers and movies were not meant to mix.
But everyone from Dean Ambrose to Paige to Brodus freakin’ Clay has taken time off to shoot some film or another, and the wrestlers of the WWE show no signs of halting their nefarious plan to impersonate actors. But what about the other way around, when actors strap on tights and do their best impressions of wrestlers for the big screen?
The wrestler biopic has been a fairly barren field up until now, with the dark private lives of grapplers instead being limited to shoot interviews and Beyond The Mat-style documentaries. Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler, starring Mickey Rourke, wasn...

You take the good, you take the bad, you take the rest and there you have last night's installment of Monday Night Raw.
With the Authority finally usurped, fans got some much-needed relief from Hhh and Stephanie's omnipresence (at least after the opening segment) and were rewarded for their patience with the return of one-night Gm Daniel Bryan. And after a rather lengthy series of monologues and mandates, grown men and women tussled and toiled, belts were defended and retained and Kane ended his night covered in a hellacious combination of condiments.

Despite being critically panned, an under-performer at the box office and the second-worst film of Arnold Schwarzenegger's '90s career (after Batman & Robin), Jingle All the Way has miraculously spawned a sequel.
There's no place for Arnie in the belated follow-up, however, as Larry the Cable Guy takes on the role of a laid-back dad struggling to get his daughter the sought-after Harrison Bear for Christmas.
A co-production between 20th Century Fox and WWE Studios, the comedy features wrestler Santino Marella in a prominent role with Brian Stepanek, Kristen Robek and Kennedi Clements in the cast.
Director Alex Zamm, whose previous credits include Tooth Fairy 2, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and Inspector Gadget 2, is pulling a double shift as the voice of the bear.
Jingle All the Way 2 will be heading straight to DVD and Blu-ray on December 2.

Say what you will about Arnold Schwarzenegger but the man knew how to star in a good Christmas film. Especially if said Christmas film revolved around one man.s insane pursuit to buy his child.s love back with a toy. Unfortunately, Larry The Cable Guy is about to sully Arnie.s good work by starring in Jingle All The Way 2. It looks as bad as it sounds. Don.t believe me? Then check out the horrid trailer for it above. It.s enough to make you wish that The Grinch really existed so that he could bring Christmas to a screeching halt immediately. But which studio do we have to blame for this festive cinematic monstrosity? Is it one of Hollywood.s biggest? Or what about a young upstart company trying to gain attention by profiting off Jingle All The Way.scult success? Nope: it.s WWE. That...

There's no Arnold Schwarzenegger. But don't worry: Jingle All The Way 2 has Larry The Cable Guy...
We're indebted, if indebted is the word, to the folks at Film Divider for bringing this to our attention. Earlier this year, we ran the news that a sequel was coming to the Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle, Jingle All The Way. Few rate the original as any kind of lost classic, but it certainly has it fans.
You will not be surprised to hear that Arnie is going nowhere near the sequel. Instead, the mantle has been passed over to Larry The Cable Guy for Jingle All The Way 2, which won't be troubling the inside of a cinema anywhere. It's a DVD and Blu-ray premiere for this one, which seems to retread the plot of the original.
It co-stars WWE star Santino Marella, and a trailer for the film has now landed. We...

A sequel to the greatest Christmas film of all time is finally being made, without its original star.
It's Turbo Time again. But not the Turbo Time you remember. That Turbo Time is gone forever, like a a fart from Ted the Reindeer in the winter wind. Admit it: Jingle All the Way is a guilty pleasure that is best consumed in secret every holiday, like cheap boxed wine. Even now, the classic lines from that film are running through your head with a bad Austrian accent tied to it.
If you felt a great disturbance in the Force today, it was because millions of Jingle All the Way fans screamed out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. It came as news broke that Twentieth Century Fox and WWE Studios (yeah, there's a movie studio for a fake sport) were teaming up on a Jingle All the Way sequel. It...

Crikey. You win a biscuit if you saw this one coming. 20th Century Fox and WWE Studios are teaming up to make a very belated sequel to the Arnold Schwarzenegger comedy, Jingle All The Way.

Fox and WWE Studios are also planning a further sequel to The Marine. The Marine 4 will star Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin.
More on both of these films at your local DVD emporium towards the end of the year...
