Warner Bros. has shared thirteen new character posters from Ryan Coogler's Sinners, offering a fresh new look at the devlish heroes and villains set to feature in the upcoming horror thriller.
While not much is yet known about the plot, save for the fact that Michael B. Jordan will be forced to square off with vampires, including his recently turned twin brother, which should only up the ante as he and a small group of survivors attempt to make it to daybreak.
When asked about his latest film, Coogler teased, “Sinners is a unique one. It’s genre fluid. There are vampires in the film, but it’s really about a lot more than just that. It’s one of many elements, I’ll say. I think we’re going to surprise people with it.”

The new Michael B. Jordan/Ryan Coogler collaboration, Sinners, has been building hype since it was secretively being shopped around to the big studios last year. The project had the studios in Hollywood excited to bid against each other and Warner Bros. would come out on top. A couple of trailers have since dropped and teased some supernatural mayhem. The ratings board has now revealed that the vampire movie has been Rated R for strong bloody violence, sexual content and language.
Coogler has written the script for this project, which has been described as both a genre picture and a period piece. As the Harry Potter universe is expanding with the upcoming TV show, the original actors continue to make their mark in the industry outside of the roles that marked them. Now, Daniel Radcliffe is expected to make his superhero debut.

However, after working on different projects to set himself apart from the Boy Who Lived, Radcliffe might get his superhero genre debut after all. Last week it was announced that Apple's new sci-fi show Murderbot is premiering much sooner than we expected: May 16, barely three months from now! Based on the hit book series The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, the show will follow a self-hacking security robot who develops sentience. They are drawn toward human emotions despite insisting they want nothing to do with them. Wells first started releasing the Murderbot novellas in 2017, and they quickly became cult favorites among science fiction fans, winning numerous awards and garnering as close to unanimous praise as any series I've seen in recent years.
All this is to say: sit up and pay attention to this one. Apple TV+ has gained a reputation for making great sci-fi shows, and with Murderbot they've got a story with excellent source material, a solid pair of writer-directors in Chris and Paul Weitz (Mozart in the Jungle), and a great lead actor,...

It’s been a minute since Alexander Skarsgård (Succession) consistently graced our screens, but finally, after nearly two years, the Emmy winner is back, and this time, he’s taking on life as a robot. But not just any robot, the world's most sarcastic, apathetic robot. Apple TV+ recently announced that its upcoming (and highly anticipated) comedic sci-fi thriller Murderbot will drop in May with a two-episode premiere.
Murderbot follows a self-hacking security construct (Skarsgård) who is both horrified by human emotion yet drawn to its vulnerable clients and the effects they experience, according to the official logline. Murderbot finds itself faced with the challenge of hiding its gift of free will while completing a dangerous assignment, despite its desire to be left alone so it can do what it really wants to do: watch futuristic soap operas and figure out its place in this vast universe… like most humans.

Rejoice, sci-fi nerds! We officially have a release date for Murderbot, the highly-anticipated TV show based on the beloved Murderbot Diaries books by Martha Wells. We knew this show was coming, but I doubt I'm alone in my surprise at how soon we'll get to watch it. Murderbot premieres May 16, 2025 on Apple TV+. That's only a few months away!

The show is created by Chris and Paul Weitz, the masterminds behind Mozart in the Jungle. Skarsgård also serves as an executive producer, which has me very curious about his relationship to the source books. Was he a huge Murderbot fan before signing on to do the show? I must know more!

BAFTA nominee Daniel Radcliffe (the Harry Potter franchise) and Oscar nominee Lucas Hedges (Manchester by the Sea) are set to take the lead roles in the Vietnam War thriller Trust the Man, which Deadline reports will be directed by Will Graham, whose credits include an episode of Daisy Jones & The Six (which earned him an Emmy nomination). This is the second Daisy Jones & The Six director we’ve talked about today, as Nzingha Stewart – who was at the helm of four episodes of that limited series – will be directing the first episode of The ‘Burbs TV series.
Given that Radcliffe left the Harry Potter franchise behind 14 years ago, I should note that some of his more recent work includes Miracle Workers, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and The Lost City. In addition to Manchester by the Sea, Hedges’ credits include Honey Boy, French Exit, and Shirley.

With a heady dose of ‘80s nostalgia and the gravity that only a script full of fierce intergenerational matriarchs can bring to the table, Mexico’s Mayra Hermosillo revealed a cut of her nuanced and buzzy coming-of-age title “Vainilla,” among the players selected for Ventana Sur’s Primer Corte.
The film is produced by Stacy Perskie, Karla Luna Cantú and Andrea Porras Madero at Mexico’s lauded Redrum, with production credits that include Alejandro González Iñárritu’s “Bardo” and Gael Garcia Bernal-fronted Golden Globe winner “Mozart in the Jungle.” Paloma Petra at Nuevo León-based Huasteca Casa Cinematográfica co-produces the project.
“The incredible level of detail in the script and how vividly the world and characters came to life stood out to us. The story felt deeply personal and profoundly moving. Knowing you’re at the end of a road is never easy. Life comes in stages, but closing the book on some of your most impactful years can leave emotional scars on your soul, filling you with memories, desperation, and regret. In Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl teaser trailer, model, actress, and author Pamela Anderson smiles through the pain, mustering up her courage for one last step into the spotlight. Opening on December 13, 2024, at AMC Century City for one week only and in theaters nationwide on January 10, 2025, The Last Showgirl transports us into the mind of an entertainer on the verge of calling it quits.

In 2021, Marvel gave us WandaVision, the first show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then it's been off to the races, with shows like Loki, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and more following. Personally, I feel the decision to expand the MCU to television was a genius idea. In fact, I’d argue that in some ways the shows have been better than the movies because they are able to go more in depth.
With that in mind, we thought we’d look back at all of Marvel Disney+ shows we’ve gotten so far and rank them from worst to best. Bear in mind that being “the worst” doesn’t mean the show was a disaster, because Marvel rarely puts out anything bad. It simply means that it did not match the level of hype and excitement as the other series.
Now, without further adieu, let’s get ranking.

“La Máquina” is an ambitious Hulu limited series 15 years in the making, and not just because it’s the platform’s first Spanish-language original.
Born from a concept by frequent collaborators and longtime friends Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal, the show follows an aging Mexican boxer’s journey back to the top of the sport as he juggles familial responsibilities, a kooky manager with a plastic surgery problem and an underlying mystery about the criminal underworld that seems to control his surroundings. Bernal plays boxer Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna, Luna is nearly unrecognizable as manager Andy Pérez.
“Boxing is a great metaphor to explore what success actually means, and how it can become a trap,” Luna told TheWrap about the themes behind the collaboration.

Return of the Mexican sex bombs: Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna on their boxing comedy La Máquina
They shot to fame as randy teens in Y Tu Máma También. Now the duo are back in a tale of Botox, boxing and borderline incest. Getting in shape took discipline, they reveal – and lots of broccoli
Forget Oasis: there’s a more dynamic reunion in town. Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna, the lifelong friends who first paired up on screen to play oversexed teenagers in Alfonso Cuarón’s 2001 road movie Y Tu Mamá También, are back. Unlike the Gallagher brothers, Bernal and Luna never fell out or became estranged. For 20 years now, they have co-run a documentary film festival and two production companies in their native capital Mexico City. Their acting collaborations, though, have been few and far between, with only the soccer-based Rudo y Cursi and the eccentric Will Ferrell vehicle Casa de mi Padre to their name since Cuarón’s vibrant hit climaxed with them tumbling into bed together.

Zackary Drucker will direct the upcoming biopic about Andy Warhol superstar Candy Darling starring Hari Nef. John Cameron Mitchell also joins the untitled film about the transgender icon as executive producer.
It was previously announced that Nef (“Barbie”) will star in the movie.
The film traces Darling’s childhood in Long Island through her years alongside underground icons Holly Woodlawn and Jackie Curtis in Warhol’s Factory scene, and her influence on musicians including Lou Reed, the Velvet Underground and Patti Smith. She was immortalized in popular songs including Reed’s “Walk on the Wild Side” and The Velvet Underground’s “Candy Says.”
Darling also starred in Warhol’s cult film “Women In Revolt” before she died of leukemia in 1974 at age 29.
“I’ve dedicated my life and career to amplifying the history of trans and queer icons, and their impact in shaping art and culture for everyone,” Drucker said in a statement.
