Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester Stallone's Tulsa King has unveiled new cast members. Bella Heathcote and James Russo will feature in the upcoming third season of the Paramount+ series.

Per Variety, Heathcote has joined Tulsa King as a series regular, while Russo has been cast in a recurring role. Heathcote will play Cleo Montague, described as "a Tulsa native born and raised, and the daughter of a distillery owner." Russo will play "Quiet" Ray Renzetti, known as "one of the mob bosses in New York." Russo's character is "calm and measured." Heathcote has appeared in other projects such as Amazon's The Man in the High Castle, CBS' Strange Angel, and films including Relic, Fifty Shades Darker, Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, Neon Demon, and The Moongai. The veteran Russo has starred in The Deuce, Chicago Fire, Hawaii Five-o, Horizon: An American Saga, Open Range, Donnie Brasco, Django Unchained, and Black Mass.

After 77 years, the National Association of Theater Owners is changing its name and rebranding to Cinema United ahead of its annual trade show, CinemaCon.

“Cinema United is a celebration of who we are as an industry, but more importantly, where we’re headed,” President/CEO Michael O’Leary said. “The people we represent are constantly innovating and creating unparalleled experiences for fans who love movies on the big screen. Their passion, energy and commitment are the real power behind the Cinema United brand.”

The rebrand was made by the organization’s executive board, led by chairman and B&b Theaters CEO Bob Bagby, who oversaw a committee formed for the name change. Cinema United says the new name will reflect the increasingly global nature of the organization’s role in film exhibition and will be accompanied by the new mantra “Moviegoing is our Mission.”

Years before his critically acclaimed role in FX's Shogun, Hiroyuki Sanada starred in the 2013 war film, The Railway Man. It will be streaming on Prime Video starting March 13.

The rest of The Railway Man's cast included Colin Firth, Nicole Kidman, Jeremy Irvine and Stellan Skarsgård. Firth stars as Eric Lomax, a former British army officer and prisoner of war, who discovers that the Japanese interpreter who tortured him during World War II is actually still alive. Lomax and his wife, Patricia (Kidman), travel to Thailand to confront the man (Sanada). The Railway Man was an adaptation of Lomax's 1995 autobiography of the same name.

Roberto Orci, a writer and producer known for his work on Star Trek, Transformers, and Hawaii Five-0, died at his home in Los Angeles on February 25 due to complications from kidney disease. He was 51.

Born in Mexico City, Orci moved to the United States as a child. His early career in television included writing and producing on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, and Alias. He formed a long-running creative partnership with Alex Kurtzman, leading to some of the most commercially successful action-adventure films of the 2000s.

Their work included Transformers (2007) and Star Trek (2009), both of which became box office hits. Orci once spoke about how the relationship between Kirk and Spock in Star Trek reflected his and Kurtzman’s dynamic. “We’re from different worlds,” he said in 2009. “Alex was born here, and I was born in Mexico City. Kirk and Spock are opposites from two worlds. That’s us in a nutshell.

Christopher Lloyd, John Rhys-Davies, and William Shatner all appeared at the recent Fan Expo Vancouver and posed for an iconic photo together.

Lloyd, who played Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, posted an epic photo to the social media site X that featured himself, Star Trek’s Captain James T. In the two-part "Star Trek: Voyager" episode "Scorpion", Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) found that she had to pilot the U.S.S. Voyager through a portion of space that was overrun by the Borg. The Borg, however, are too busy to stop and deal with the Voyager, as they are dealing with a destructive new foe known only as Species 8472. It seems that the Borg tried to puncture the membrane between dimensions and invade a parallel universe that is filled entirely with liquid. The 8472 aliens from the liquid dimension, however, were far too aggressive and powerful for the Borg to take on, and found themselves being handily destroyed.

Seven of Nine remains one of the most beloved characters in the Star Trekfranchise. A former Borg drone rescued by the crew of Star Trek: Voyager, she quickly became a stand-in for square pegs of all varieties, as well as the franchise's unofficial ambassador for ex-Borg. Her return in Star Trek: Picard was met with thunderous applause from the Star Trek faithful, and fans have pushed for her continued presence in the franchise as it moves forward. It's an impressive legacy, and in many ways, no other single character can replace her.

Ironically, Star Trek: Lower Decks may have quietly found a similar figure to fill in the gap while fans wait for her possible return. The saga of Badgey -- a homicidal hologram who becomes the crew's greatest foe -- produced a benign duplicate named Goodgey, who remained a part of the Cerritos crew for the rest of the series.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man has gone from strength to strength in its fresh take on Spider-Man's story. The animated Disney+ series follows a young Peter Parker (Hudson Thames) in his early months as Spider-Man, as he teams up with Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo) to grow as a superhero. The series takes place in its own universe, freeing it from the need to fit in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's established continuity, although it still features several Marvel characters who closely resemble their MCU Earth-616 counterparts. This has allowed Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man to explore stories fans have been waiting to see on screen, even when the mainstream MCU has gone in a different direction.

After Tom Holland confirmed his return as Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man, there have been reports and speculations about the upcoming film floating around the Internet. CBS premiered Scorpion in 2014, and the series was a hit from the get-go, the most-watched network's highest-rated drama series. Loosely based on the top-secret exploits of its executive producer, super-genius Walter O'Brien with the Department of Homeland Security, Scorpion follows the fictionalized O'Brien (Elyes Gabel) and his assembled team of geniuses as they tackle complex, high-technology global threats that Homeland Security doesn't have the manpower, or know-how, to deal with.

With so many conflicting reports and rumors relating to Spider-Man 4 doing the rounds over the past few weeks, it's difficult to get a read on exactly what's going on with the project, but several different sources have claimed that - for whatever reason - the story still hasn't come together.

The script is believed to be undergoing a major overhaul, possibly due to differences of opinion between star Tom Holland and Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige, and last we heard, the movie was still a long way from starting production because there isn’t a finalized shooting draft yet.

Scooper Daniel Richtman has now shared an update, and he believes that the script is still being worked on. He also claims that the most recent version of the story - prior to the rewrites - included two classic Spidey villains in Shocker and Scorpion.

Marvel Studios releases have been a mixed bag lately, with some releases struggling to engage audiences and critics alike.

AI is infiltrating almost every aspect of the entertainment industry, and whether we want to embrace this change or not, the truth is that it’s here and it’s here to stay. That being said, not every AI use is bad for the economy or society. I’m saying this because I know a lot of people who believe AI is coming for their jobs – I’m reasonably worried, but I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I’m scared. In fact, I’ll say that I’m scared and excited to see all we can be able to achieve with AI.

The 2002 film, The Scorpion King, directed by Chuck Russell, depicts the journey of Mathayus as he attempts to overthrow the despotic warrior Memnon. The Scorpion King serves as a prequel to The Mummy Returns, and it helped explain the origin story of how Mathayus came to be the Scorpion King and the villain of the latter film. Luckily for fans of The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King was able to bring back the same actor for the titular role as well as add other prominent actors to the cast list.

The Scorpion King received modest reviews from critics and currently holds a 41% score on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the film did well enough with audiences, grossing $180.6 million on a $60 million budget, and it spawned several Scorpion King direct-to-video sequels. Exclusive: Jessica Chastain, Brendan Fraser and Bryan Cranston have joined Al Pacino in the mystery thriller Assassination. The film will be directed by Barry Levinson from a script by David Mamet, Levinson and Sam Bromell.

The film offers up a new take on the JFK conspiracy, centering around Kilgallen (Chastain), one of the most famous voices in media at the time. When she suspects that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone, she uses her fame and influence to find President John F. Kennedy’s real killer. Part murder mystery, part film noir, Kilgallen’s journey will put her up against the CIA, mafia bosses and the FBI, all who would love nothing more than to make her and this story disappear.

A new week is here, and so is November! When did that happen? But before we get to Thanksgiving, Netflix has a few movies and shows they are adding to their lineup this week, including a new season of a Netflix Original, a new documentary, and a comedy crime series.

First up is The Diplomat! Season 2 is hitting Netflix on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024, and this season will start where last season left off. A bomb had just gone off, possibly injuring Kate's husband and staff, so we will likely get to see how everyone is recovering/who didn't survive. That will probably be most of the first episodes. Kate is also being looked at for the office of the Vice President, whether she likes it or not. And with Allison Janney as the current Vice President, things are sure to get sticky.

I am not usually a procedural kind of guy. However, this show is making me reevaluate my interests! Miss Morgan is a whole vibe, and despite her eccentric nature, I feel like I know people like her — including people with a wealth of random knowledge.

High Potential has proven that it’s a series with enough potential to last for years. Interestingly, I’ve heard it both ways about this show. Some people were hooked instantly and loved it. Others didn’t find the character relatable and took issue with a few aspects of the show.

Some of General Hospital‘s latest cast additions come from the land of primetime and streaming television. For example, Adam J. Charles Mesure’s recent credits include Syfy’s The Magicians, ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and Desperate Housewives. In fact, we’re betting you’ve seen him plenty of times before.

Since Jonathan Jackson’s return to Gh, Lucky Spencer’s character has been holed up in a tiny room somewhere in Somalia. His go-to method of distraction is playing poker opposite the crime lord, who keeps coming up with reasons not to kill his hostage.

Some Star Trek: Voyager episodes had trouble with exposition, so I'm happy that one season 4 episode jumped right into the action. Despite not being the most popular of the 1990s-era Star Trek shows, Voyager is by far my favorite series in the franchise. In my opinion, Voyager's cast of characters gelled extremely well together, and by and large, the show's storylines were enjoyable and interesting. That's not to say that Voyager didn't struggle with certain things though, and while I love the show, I'll be the first to admit that it had weaker moments.

One of the things Voyager often had trouble with was the pacing of certain episodes. I can think of numerous episodes throughout the show's seven seasons that suffered from pacing issues or too much exposition. Voyager's "Trilogy of Terror" in season 3 comes to mind, but there were certainly other episodes, especially early on, that would have benefitted from a rewrite.

Although the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine seems to have given the Marvel Cinematic Universe the perfect boost it needed to get back on fans’ good side, there are still a lot of unanswered questions that need to be resolved. And while the frozen half-peaking head and hand of Tiamut from Eternals was one thing, it isn’t the only one Kevin Feige has yet to address.

For instance, there’s a very interesting aspect of Tom Holland’s debut MCU movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, that the studios are yet to explain and continue the storyline of. Scorpion is gaining major viewership on Paramount+, briefly ranking just after Yellowstone. The show is loosely based on Walter O'Brien, focusing on his team's expertise in solving various problems. The show created by Reacher's Nick Santora lasted four seasons.

Reacher creator Nick Santora's spy thriller Scorpion has become a hit on streaming more than six years after being cancelled by CBS. Santora has been a trusted guide for the action drama genre on the small screen in recent years. Reacher season 3, adapted from the Lee Child novels and led by Alan Ritchson, is returning to Prime Video in 2025, while Arnold Schwarzenegger's Fubar also landed a season 2 renewal at Netflix. Prior to his recent successes, Santora created Scorpion, which lasted four seasons and ran for 93 episodes before ending in 2018.

Now, Collider shares that Scorpion is gaining viewership on Paramount+, previously coming in just behind Yellowstone on the streaming service's global charts.

Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone is facing some new viewership competition from a surprising source on Paramount+ right now. Scorpion, the CBS spy thriller that aired for four seasons through 2018, pulled within one spot of overtaking the juggernaut series on the platform's global television charts today. It currently ranks third among all shows on the platform and, although exact viewership numbers aren't available, it's surged to, or close to, the top spot in terms of popularity in 17 countries. Only Yellowstone and the animated comedy favorite South Park remain ahead of the series worldwide.

An executive producer on The Boys since Season 3, Grellong is showrunner and executive producer on spinoff Vought Rising, starring The Boys‘ Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, which he also developed and wrote.

Under the new two-year pact with Sony TV, Grellong will continue as an exec producer on The Boys and as EP/showrunner on Vought Rising. He will also continue to develop projects for the independent studio targeting streaming and network platforms.

Some perceive "Year of Hell" as Star Trek: Voyager's best two-part episode due to its ambitious plot and character arcs. Despite its positive qualities, the episode's convoluted time travel premise and highly disappointing ending are noteworthy cons. Episodes like "Future's End" and "Equinox" are superior to "Year of Hell" due to their more cohesive storytelling and better entertainment value.

I understand why people like Star Trek: Voyager's "Year of Hell" so much, but to me, it's never been the show's best episode. "Year of Hell" was Voyager's second two-part episode in season 4 after "Scorpion, Part 2" kicked off the season. The episode featured an interesting premise that played with the nature of time travel and pushed Voyager's cast of characters to the limit as they struggled to keep the ship and themselves intact while enduring devastating attacks by the episode's villain, Annorax (Kurtwood Smith).
