Although Netflix is primarily known for producing original TV series that are perfect for binge-watching, the streaming service doesn't overlook films, which have also been a significant part of its success over the years. As a result, in addition to bringing in new movies from third-party providers each month, it also releases a handful of original films.
In February 2025, for example, the streaming service released some extremely amusing movies, such as Kinda Pregnant, Honeymoon Crasher, and The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, all of which climbed the streaming charts and proved to be quite successful. Similarly, we have a plethora of exciting Netflix original films lined up for the following month that will keep you glued to your screen. So, without further ado, here's every original movie coming to Netflix in March 2025.

Netflix is once again turning a former theatrical flop into a streaming hit. 2019's "Don't Let Go," which stars Oscar nominee David Oyelowo ("Selma") and Storm Reid ("A Wrinkle in Time"), has found its audience more than five years after it failed to catch on during its original release. This is an interesting case where success may well be better late than never.
"Don't Let Go" has been rising through Netflix's top 10 most-watched movies list as of late and is currently sitting at number four on the streamer's charts, per FlixPatrol. It's even trending above other Netflix originals such as "Kinda Pregnant" and "Honeymoon Crasher." Not bad for a movie with a $5 million budget that made only $5 million at the box office in late summer 2019. But that's the power of Netflix, which generates more revenue than the entire global box office combined.

Time travel films have always been popular with viewers, and over the years, there have been several distinctive stories produced by Hollywood. One such film, the 2019 thriller Don't Let Go, has made a surprising comeback, recently soaring into Netflix's top ten charts after being added to the platform. Since its addition to Netflix on February 16, Don't Let Go has quickly climbed the streaming charts, reaching #4 in just two days. It's certainly not a small feat considering the fact that it has surpassed popular films like Kinda Pregnant and Rambo: Last Blood, both of which have done fairly well since their debut a week ago. Meanwhile, La Dolce Villa, Aftermath, and Trial by Fire are in the top three on the streaming chart, with Honeymoon Crasher, Uncle Drew, and Back in Action trailing closely behind, albeit it's been over a week since they have been added to the streaming service.

“Nosferatu” (Focus) and “Sonic the Hedgehog 3” (Paramount), two of the biggest hits last Christmas, are both coming to their studios’ streaming platforms less than two months after their theatrical release. That is a radical decrease in the amount of normal time before home subscribers can see a hit film for no extra charge.
In a week that saw four different films released no earlier than January 12 make the VOD top 10 lists, Mel Gibson’s “Flight Risk” (Lionsgate) currently is the most popular. At Netflix, the Italian-set rom-com “La Dolce Villa” capitalized on Valentine’s Day to take the #1 spot.
With the absence of any same-week streaming charts for all services, IndieWire normally concentrates on top 10 charts for VOD (which usually is the first stage of home availability) and Netflix’s same-day list. But the gravity of these two announcements overshadows our normal coverage.

Directed by Nicolas Cuche, Honeymoon Crasher had a good message to offer, but I was slightly disappointed by the way the narrative was executed. I understand the effort it takes for a writer to create genuine moments of humor for the screen, but sometimes it so happens that they stretch a joke so much that instead of earning a laugh or two, it makes the audience cringe. The entire subplot of the mother-son duo pretending to be husband and wife was stretched a bit too thin for my liking, and moreover, I felt it did not contribute to the main conflict in any manner. I mean, the film is about the characters realizing who they truly are and gaining a new perspective on life, and that could have easily been achieved even if Lucas and his mother, Lily, didn’t pretend to be a couple on the trip. Firstly, it...

Traditional stories about mother-son relationships are pretty common in movies and TV shows. Regardless of the genre, pretty much every Indian movie is about how the bond between a son and his mother shaped the former’s worldview. With the rise of the superhero genre, since the journeys of the hero as well as the villain are usually defined by their family, or lack thereof, we’ve witnessed an uptick in plots centered around moms and sons. That said, there are quite a few narratives out there that have made some bold creative choices to explore this familial connection. For starters, there’s Hereditary, where a mother’s complex feelings for her son are triggered due to the death of her daughter and the presence of a cult. There are the two Dune movies where a mother is instrumental in her son’s transformation into a genocidal messiah. And now you have Honeymoon Crasher,...

This week brings romance and plenty of it to your favorite streaming service. This is the week when our corporate overlords compel you to buy tons of candy and flowers to prove your love. It was as if putting up with their shenanigans all year wasn't proof enough.
Don't worry, there's more than romance in store. The week kicks off on Sunday one lonely debut, a basketball comedy. That seems like an odd bit of counter-programming to the biggest annual sports event in the U.S., but nobody asked me. Monday brings a trio of war movies along with the debut of a three-part miniseries documenting a battle gone wrong. Happy stuff!
There's so much to see in this week's double baker's dozen of movies and shows. Spoiled alert for my own article: a few of the movies I've listed don't appear on Netflix's own site, but are shown as...

Netflix has revealed its lineup for February 2025.
Reality TV enthusiasts are in for a treat. Netflix is putting a strong focus on this genre with the return of Love Is Blind for its eighth season, along with the debut of Celebrity Bear Hunt, a fresh competition-based reality show. For those who prefer a gripping thriller, Netflix will drop Apple Cider Vinegar, a new series premiering on February 6 that’s worth keeping an eye on.
In other big news, the highly popular series Cobra Kai will release its final batch of five episodes this month, marking the end of the TV series. While it’s bittersweet for fans, this isn’t the last we’ll see of Daniel Larusso, as he’s set to appear in an upcoming Karate Kid movie hitting theaters later this year.
Beyond these highlights, Netflix is also adding plenty of films and shows to its catalog.
