The young actor who plays the daughter, Mumu, is so adorable. In this film, Zhang Yixing has seemingly shed the halo of an idol and idol, transforming into the image of a hearing-impaired old father who endures and is deeply affectionate for his daughter. It is extremely difficult to perform silence or sobbing only through eye expressions, sign language and body language. However, Zhang Yixing's performance was natural, sincere and touching. It presented the difficult life predicament of the hearing-impaired and the emotional power of "silence speaks louder than words" that emerged on the big screen, raising attention and care for such marginalized groups in society.
The use of light, color and sound effects in the film is very meticulous and distinct. When depicting the father-daughter affection, the bright orange-yellow warm and soft light seems to gently touch the face, in sharp contrast to the evil in the pitch-dark rainy night, which seems to whip my heart. At that moment, the sudden silent sound effect led the audience to experience firsthand the genuine desire of the deaf to be heard and to hear the voices of others.
Through delicate emotional progression and precise tear-jerking bombardment, the director prompts the audience to reflect on "dependence and independence" and "language and love" in family relationships, thus truly realizing that true communication does not require words but stems from the resonance of the soul and genuine love from the bottom of one's heart.

The script nearly ruined the whole movie but luckily was saved by all the cast superb acting. The writer must be influenced by fairytale since young and had not come out from the cave not knowing the harsh reality world. Bad people suddenly self remose and admit the mistake without any motive support. All the scene were forced to happen coincidence with its lazy writing.
Writer should apologise to all the cast that pull effort learnig hand signs in the movie. Writer background must be strong still to be in this field after low score in previous 5 movie.pls watch more on real life police documentary before u start to write.

8.5/10
Mumu is emotionally charming, heartwarming, and deeply captivating, Lay Zhang and the young actress playing Mumu deliver excellent performances, as does the rest of the cast, some of Sha Mo's direction truly shines, with several beautifully composed shots.
Storywise, Mumu isn't just another predictable tearjerker, yes, the premise of a deaf father and his adorable daughter might suggest an emotional ride, but the film goes beyond that, it adds genuine heart, creative storytelling, and well-crafted conflicts that enrich the bond between the two main characters, the writing is thoughtful, and the performances are sincere and compelling.
Mumu is a sweet, touching film with emotional depth, a solid plot, and great acting, it's worth the watch, i absolutely love it.
