The movie was definitely not what was expected. It starts with 3 wannabes (Two Delhi daredevils and a Mumbai cha mulga) trying to loot a bank, and then failing miserably while doing that. But that's just the start.

What follows is a series of twists and turns which continue till the very climax which is something that you don't wanna miss. So sit back and forget logic and sense of humour for the first half of the movie and wait till the end to enjoy this comic thriller (less of a comic and a lot more of a serious though).

After a long period of time, I finally get to see a FAMILY Comedy movie with some good performances and clever twists!

Yeah you heard it right, this is not a pure Comedy Movie; you would have expected, It's lot more!

A good mix of suspense, thrill, a bit of action and laughter!!

A RARE mix, don't u think?

But believe me, it was really a good one. Although if you judge it in more depth you would find many clichés, flaws but if you are into this just for the fun and entertainment, Then you will surely like it! Just as I did!

On the performance basis, all the characters made their mark, they have done pretty good jobs!

Story wise not so Extraordinary, but surely it created a lot of suspense and tension till the end!

And in the end you will be amazed by the Mind-Boggling Twist!

But don't worry I won't spoil your fun in here...

Get to the movie with lower expectations and without IN-DEPTH Judgement!

And I assure you, You will leave the theater with a Smile on your face!

Robbing a bank concept was old but it was presented in a fresh way. The climax was amazing. The twists were totally new. I went with an expectation of whole comedy on which i can come home with a smile and sleep, but it was more than just a comedy it was full with twists. All in all, I loved it and I didn't come home with a baggage of tiredness. Ritesh is very talented and i don't know why he is not recognized as a "A Grade" Actor. Akshay, Salman, Shahrukh & Aamir all are one dimension whereas Ritesh can give all the expressions of confusions, happiness and anger in one moment in a one scene. His comic timing is flawless if he'd been in Hollywood he'd be rated as one of the best like tom hanks or Sean Penn.

Acting has nothing to put on weight or lose weight for a role or opening your arms and hugging chicks but you need to deliver the moment of expression in a scene with that true feelings which I only see in Ritesh, Boman Irani, Ranbir Shorey, Vinay Pathak, Sanjay Mishra, Naseeruddin Shah, Saurabh Shukla and couple more.

'Bank chor' is a Bollywood heist comedy thriller film which is directed by Bumpy and distributed under Yash Raj Fims banner.

Bank Chor is another comedy film of Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi. Though their last film "Great Grand Masti" was highly disappointed, Bank chor is full of entertainment. Last few years Bollywood couldn't deliver us a comedy thriller film like this. "Hera Pheri" was bollywood's best comedy thriller film. We cannot compare "Bank chor"with "Hera pheri". But Bank chor's comedy was not bad. Nothing to say about Vivek Oberoi's and Riteish Deshmukh's acting. They gave their best as well as. You can enjoy this movie with family and friends because their is no adult comedy.

Bank robbery films have always excited me but in the case of Bank Chor, it is like watching an unfunny joke being told by the least popular kid in the class. Riteish Deshmukh plays a smart-alecky bank robber who gets embroiled in a mess while robbing a bank with two of his dim-witted associates. Things take a turn when they realize that amidst the hostages is one more bank robber who is more experienced and cunning than the trio put together. Amateur director Bumpy has tried to expand a 10-minute short into a 2-hour narrative that powers itself with fast-delivered one-liners and occasional twists. Instead of supporting the film's movement, Vivek Oberoi and Rhea Chakraborty disrupt it by playing nonsensical characters that do not hold muster. There's a reeking political angle in the plot that worsens the proceedings. Even though everything falls in place towards the end, to make Bank Chor look like a clever film, whatever happens in the first 30 minutes is enough to doze you off. Sahil Vaid goes borderline overacting but makes it at least bearable. There are a lot of issues with Bank Chor and even if the makers corrected it, it would still be a film that should not be recommended. There is just no substance here. TN.

Don't listen to people here saying watch till the end . The end sucked as did the whole movie Firstly the acting of each in this movie of each and every actor was overreacting and cringy . The jokes in the movie were very lame , not even the lame ones which make you laugh , kiddish and waste . The direction the connecting of the story was so reckless . Trust don't watch this you'll save 2 hrs of your precious time

'Bank Chor' is actually a pleasant surprise. I mean, its no masterpiece, but its definitely a decent film, that has a strong second-hour as a plus. Sure, its never compelling enough to be called great, but there is some potential here, that cannot be denied.

'Bank Chor' tells the story of 3 buffoons (Riteish Deshmukh, Vikram Thapa & Bhuvan Arora) who, while trying to rob a bank, pick the worst day possible when everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and how they're inadvertently caught in the crossfire.

'Bank Chor' has a slow first-hour & how the buffoons try to rob the bank hardly offer any laughs. Even the entry of the super-cop (Vivek Oberoi, in an okay performance) doesn't get you thrilled. But, wait for it...'Bank Chor' has a sharp twist towards the interval point & from there-on, the film shifts gears from being a crime-comedy to a thriller of sorts & it works. The second-hour is filled with surprises & the climatic twist is indeed cleverly written. In short, 'Bank Chor' has a weak first-hour, but an interesting second, that somewhat makes for it.

The Screenplay is erratic & how one wishes if the Writing as strong in the first-hour as its in the second. The Dialogue, however, range from funny to ordinary. Bumpy's Direction is fine. Cinematography & Editing are average. Art Design is good.

Performance-Wise: Riteish Deshmukh is excellent as the leader his bumbling group. The talented actor shines, even when the Writing doesn't support him. Vikram Thapa & Bhuvan Arora are appropriately goofy as the jokers from Delhi. Their banter with Ritiesh & the entire Mumbai versus Delhi angle, raises a few laughs. Rhea Chakraborty is cute. Sahil Vaid is effective in a meaty role. Upendra Limaye & Sandesh Kulkarni are excellent. Naveen Kaushik is first-rate. Baba Sehgal is funny.

On the whole, 'Bank Chor' isn't perfect, but absorbing in parts nonetheless.

It's hard for me to review this film, as I have not seen a huge number of Indian films--probably no more than a couple dozen. Most of the ones I've seen were wonderfully entertaining but I am far from an expert on Bollywood. Because of this, I have a hard time knowing how good this film is relative to other films from this country. So, consider this when you read this review. This may be among the very best India has to offer or it just seems that way to me. I don't understand bad review of the movie . As soon as i started it . i didn't move my eyes of it. thought a comedy . but soon it turned out be a great heist. and the ending was perfect . should be a sequel.

It is disastrous movie ever made. It does not have a bit of entertainment. Big Pain to watch this movie. I don't know why Ritesh signed this one. Bad story and plot. Rubbish acting. Don't deserve a Single star. Music is also not good to hear. Supporting cast including Vivek are not good in their roles.

First I was thinking why i should waste my money on this kind of movie??? Then one of my friend said lets go. I said OK lets waste my money on this hmmmp. I been to PVR only 10 people were there for Movie, i was like my money gone. Then movie starts. Main Points :-

Looking at a comedy point movie is up to the mark. Climax is awesome, you can never guess it. A scene is seem to copy from Now you see me but it goes. Movie has some flaws like the name of Bank is different at different places. Over acting of VO has drowned the movie. Both the Dilli wala's together with a Mumbaikar is awesome. Worth watching a complete paisa wasool.

Awesome!!! Bank Chor should be the best crime movie from bollywood till date!! I would say this is the Indian version of Now you see me but the story line is slightly different and interesting with logic in place!!! After so many days found a good story line. And please don't go by the shitty reviews on IMDB... this is why our movies don't go on to the International Level because people don't support this type movie, but they watch Tiger Zinda hai twice thrice... BS

We started watching this movie for the lack of seemingly better alternatives. The initial part was just goofy comedy and my wife asked me several times if we should continue. Since I don't like leaving movies half way I continued watching. By the time the movie was in 4th quarter we both were glued to the screen. The plots twists are brilliant and unexpected. We realized only today that it had no songs but there's no need in this movie. The plot is the star and rest of the actors are the other characters. You may watch it a second time just to see what you missed in the first view. Kudos to the entire team for making an awesome movie.

Watch till the end and then you will realize why these many stars in the ratings.

This definitely isn't a 5-star rating movie

This movie starts as a no- brianer but the twist will come at the end. Good comedy, and suspense this movie is worth your time.

Looking at the title & star cast you say to yourself that this is going to be another cheesy adult comedy but surprisingly this movie is as clean as it can get & only double meaning thing in this movie is it's title. Gripping plot with good plot turns. I felt that some of it was copied from a hollywood movie but that's about it. No songs which can be a bummer for many people but it's a plus from my side. All & all a wholesome family flick which will keep you on the edge of your seats from start to end.
