I am actually a fan of B movies and low budget films, but I am NOT a fan of this one unfortunately. The script was actually good all things considered, there is definitely a talent in the writing, keep working at it because I think the real crafted piece is yet to come.

But there is nothing fresh or new with this zombie film, and the acting was not great by any means, if at least annoying.

The CGI, for the budget was actually not terrible, although the guns up close looked like toys.

As a low budget filmmaker, I know the hardships and limitations when there are limited funds. The actors I have in my series Dead Nightmare on YouTube were free and are better than the ones in this cluster of a film... We're talking poor pacing, poor acting, & the plot/story takes forever to get into action... The backdrops, equipment, & wardrobe was cool... but that's it. If you love low budget B films, the you can give it a whirl. Otherwise, stay clear.

I have read reviews before where someone said it hurt them to watch the movie. I always thought that they were just exaggerating. It turns out I was wrong. I chose this movie because it has a 5.5 rating on IMDB. This is a poorly written poorly acted film with special effects that looks more at home on a Halloween kindergarten wall collection. I didn't think it was possible to have everyone in the film act that campy. Nothing felt natural or normal. It was truly painful to watch.

I don't know if you can categorize it as a zombie movie. The script is predictable, you already know that someone is going to die and is going to become a "zombie" and also those who are going to survive the journey. (For all gamers the movie's dots are some small similarities with The Last of Us even the sound of clickers)

To have several martial artists the fights are very clumsy. The camera work poorly focused on some points, * this is very personal but to me at some times the audio was poorly synchronized I don't know if someone has the same problem or it was just me. The poorly crafted VFX I know is a B movie but there are also videos on youtube with better quality effects than these.

So why the hell did I watch the movie? once again I saw her for Joosten and once again I don't believe her in her performance, of the times she is supposed to convey some emotion she always makes the same face does not convey emotion towards the viewer.

I managed to cure the entire movie. So some of us suffered and took one for the team, so you don't have to. Stay well clear of this movie, unless you are a diehard fan of Stefanie Joosten for some reason.

It speaks volumes about movie production when they can't even write up a description without two typos. Quality control anyone? That right there is enough to tell you not to bother watching this.

This was a Dollar Tree pickup and I realized within minutes that I overpaid for this. I'm not sure what they did with the post production on this, but for a bit I thought the thing was actually CGI rather than live action shot with a cheaper HD video camera. The sets replace any real dressing with masses of video screens, meanwhile. The director stars as Tex and has an ever-evolving generic southern accent (and a tendency to say "massa-cure" rather than "massacre", and as bad as the male actors are, the women are *worse*, apparently cast for shapeliness rather than talent. Not that it matters; the script is a bowl of cold, lumpy oatmeal.

Unbelievably bad POS movie

In fact, looking at the physiques of the extras, I'd pay reasonable odds this was a passion project of a gym, or enlisted then for at least two principals and a whole lot of army dudes. There's some imagination in the setting, the plot has a least an attempt at complexity, but the script is pretty average and lapses into cliche and trope. Still, the actors are charismatic, they do make good use of locations and the editing is competent which makes it at least watchable, if not good.

This being a zombie movie, of course I had to sit down and watch it. And the movie does have an above mediocre rating - as of May 13th 2020 - here on IMDb, so it couldn't be all that bad. Right?

Wrong!

This movie was a swing and a miss. And I have no idea what went on when writer and director Guy Bleyaert when this movie was written, much less understand how it actually made it to the screen.

The idea might have been well-intended and worked well enough on paper, but translated to the screen, it just didn't go all that well. Personally, I didn't care one ounce about the story, especially because it was less than mediocre script writing, so the movie wasn't really off to a great start.

As for the acting in the movie. Well, let's just say that you will not find yourself in for any award winning performances that will bedazzle you or have you riveted to the edge of the seat.

The movie just lost me entirely when the zombies were introduced. It was little more than people with fuzzy hair and really lousy Halloween costume slapped on their faces. It was atrocious. And that was actually what made me give up on the movie. I just couldn't take that serious.

My rating of "Transit 17" is a generous two out of ten stars. At least they tried to make a zombie movie, eh?

I was actually rather surprised that this film was as enjoyable as it was. After reading several scathing reviews I was very worried going into this film. Overall I had a good time watching it. It is a decent low budget film below 1M and I was thoroughly entertained.

Basically there are a few of holes in it which could bring you down if you linger too long on them, but if you are able to get past that it is definitely worth watching. But those are in all the films. In short I had a lot of fun with Transit17. Everybody is so keen to criticize this film, while completely ignoring its good parts. This movie is no where near a one rating. I've been watching a lot of movies since I was a little kid. From cheesy 80's flicks, to straight to TV. This is no where near a 1. This movie sits at a 8 for me.

If people came here looking at this review thinking they are get a play by play of the movie. I'm not doing that. You have to watch and please don't listen to these negative reviews. Some of them are bashing in the name of competitors and want to to break it down and discourage you to watch it.

Once again don't try to watch this thinking this is going to be like a Hollywood blockbuster, It is not. Its just going to be a great B movie with a simpel plot and action. Nothing over the top where its mind blowing. It was well written movie.

I watched the movie at a late night and quite frankly, I did not know what to expect from this movie in particular but it turned out to be not so bad as some people reviewing here.

I agree with some comment, the script lines were not really too great but the movie is okay, not one of my personal favorites. But it was surprisingly better than expected for your standard low budget futuristic science fiction action/horror film. I am a huge fan of these films/genres It is certainly far better than most budget films out there these days. The actual production low budget makes it difficult judging this film aswell . But if you're like me, you are very leery of low budget sci-fi and horror films that are written and directed by the same person who is relatively unknown and not yet an established filmmaker then this is a movie to watch aslong if your not comparing it to big Hollywood budget movies, high end FX or Oscar winning film. Anyways I enjoyed the film for sure. For me its still worth a solid 7

I loved this movie. Even after a few kasteelbiertjes. I hoped Sarge was in more scenes. Too bad.. I hope they make a new movie with him as the protagonist. The world needs a new Vin Diesel. 9/10 needs more Sarge

This film is great. I was surprised how good the quality was, lighting, plot, action, atmosphere. It never bored me at anytime. And yes there are a few zombies in it and zombie haters might not like that. But this movie is not about the few zombies, it has a real nice story and plot. The acting is average, but the camera work and VFX considering the budget has a pro feel that can stand up against several hollywood blockbusters. It was worth every penny.

The writing , the actors , stories flow , everything just good , best movie. I like how they fight againts the enemy.. yes rate only for the cure , this movie can beat all hollywood movie so far... I wish i can give 100 stars for this movie.. I never waste my money for this movie.. since the cinema opening only 5 persons watch this movie... Nobody knows this movie WAS A GOLD. worth it. just worth it. everybody should read the review 1st before watch this movie. bcause i dont want them ruined their friends days just becuz of this movie.

If you're looking for an edgy sci-fi movie that is a compliment to it's genre, watch this movie. To be fair, it definitely had tension. I was glued to the story throughout the movie.

There was good shooting and warfare action. The characters were pretty likable despite their shallow creation. I really enjoyed the Science fiction of believable weapon development. The special effects were well done. Less then a Million dollar budget? Maybe if you know what you are doing you don't need to rip off those funding the project. Just spit balling. Its amazing that such a decent quality show can go under the radar. Give this director more money to get excellent actors and script writers and a memorable block buster could be the outcome. The direction could have been a bit less cliché at times, in how it handled scenes with "he's watching you" tension. But action/battle scenes manage to deliver a hardcore experience while keeping the atmosphere claustrophobic. I love especially that the battles make sense tactically.

The film is mostly a combination of 28 Days Later, Escape From New York and The Road Warrior. The film brings us back to the good old days (the 80's) and is a highly entertaining and blood soaked action that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. The flick is a little campy, but looks great and favors practical f/x and delivers huge with tons of great gory action.

Seemed to be a lot of bad reviews, thought i'd give it a chance and I really enjoyed it....violent, action style film....bloody brilliant. I'm pretty sure you're going to like this movie a lot. And don't be to worry about all the gore in the previews, it's actually also pretty funny at times but all over a great movie to watch.

It says a lot about a movie when even the official description has a typo AND a grammar error.
