Widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the NBA’s history, LeBron James has built up a legacy that transcends the court. A cultural icon, he is no less than a legend. But even the greatest among us are not safe from scrutiny. And when it comes to being scrutinized, James knows it all too well thanks to his peculiar habit of ‘lying,’ an act fans allege the Basketball God is pretty fond of.

Across the internet, one can find several videos and instances of James allegedly lying, but the most embarrassing is when he claimed to have watched The Godfather half a dozen times.

Disgraced hip-hop mogul Diddy is at the center of another speculation after he was accused of poisoning actor Jamie Foxx. Fans would recall last year when he was hospitalized due to an undetermined medical complication.

Now, word on this has spread online and a source seemingly revealed that Foxx name-dropped Diddy as the reason for his hospital stint during the taping of a special project. The rapper’s team is now clearing the issue and saying the chatter reportedly holds no truth.

In April 2023, Jamie Foxx encountered a sudden pain in his body which required him to undergo medical care. In a post from CNN, he told fans that he had a bad headache and he was gone for 20 days. During his absence, he admitted to not remembering anything that happened.

Apart from being a big name in the world of hip-hop, Sean “Diddy” Combs is also a smart businessman. Having built himself an empire worth hundreds of millions of dollars, he knows the industry inside out. Unfortunately, his riches and desire to keep going didn’t help him when he was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on September 16.

Over a month has gone by since Diddy felt the sunlight that falls on the free and there are still plenty of months to go before he can even think about stepping outside the Metropolitan Detention Center. Before his arrest though, Diddy had plans to scale his empire further with the help of fellow businessmen, Tyler Perry and Byron Allen.

TLC's long-running plural marriage fiasco Sister Wives, Season 19 returned last night, and it opened with a surprisingly touching tribute to Garrison Brown, the son of Janelle and Kody Brown, who died in March.
Editor's note: This article contains mention of suicide or suicidal ideation. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, please visit findahelpline.com to connect with resources in your country.
As we've previously reported, Garrison's sister Mykelti has repeatedly fretted to fans about how the network would handle Garrison's passing.
Just ahead of the premiere, Kody and Janelle gave separate interviews about the sudden loss of their son.
Three black screens with white text appeared at the beginning of the episode, acknowledging Garrison's death in a quiet way.
They read:
"This season of Sister Wives began filming in late 2022.

Yahoo Finance has its first creator partnership: It’s tapped former Wall Street analyst and associate turned digital content creator Ross Mac to join its new “premium experience” as a contributor.
That “premium experience,” announced this morning, includes exclusive video series, podcasts (including a partnership with long-running business podcast Morning Brew), and news articles, plus data on stocks and financial analysis tools. Some of it is free to access (with an account), but there are also paid subscription tiers.
And, of course, it’s also adding content creators, with the goal of “supplementing its talent line up with rising star creators,” Yahoo said.
“The combination of traditional journalists and creators is unique in the financial space and will start with the creator of the Maconomics brand, Ross Mac, who will contribute to on-air segments, explainer videos, and more,” the company added.

Just one month after Revolt celebrated its 10-year anniversary, the company embarked on a rocky path and still faces questions about its future after founder Sean “Diddy” Combs stepped down as its chairman amid allegations of sexual assault in November.
Combs removed himself from the company after he was beset with multiple lawsuits, the first from ex-girlfriend Cassie, who accused him of sexual assault and other forms of abuse in an explosive lawsuit Combs quickly settled while denying the claims. Additional lawsuits were filed by others; the case against Combs grew even more serious March 25, when his houses were raided by federal agents as part of what was described as an ongoing investigation.

Exclusive: Compelling Pictures is coming on to produce and finance the high-concept psychological horror thriller The Blur, written and being directed by emerging director Joe Miale. Denis O’Sullivan and Jeff Kalligheri are producing for Compelling, alongside Scott Carr and Josh Crook. Carr brought the project to Compelling back in 2020 as a pitch and Miale wrote the script.
The film follows a visually-impaired family tormented by a ghost only seen by those who have severe myopia. It introduces a villain named Smudge to the horror pantheon, and will use innovative visual techniques–largely in-camera–to bring the terrifying character to life. Producers cited a 2021 study by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness estimated that 43 million people worldwide are considered legally blind, while 295 million people worldwide live with moderate-to-severe visual impairment. And also noted the World Health Organization has estimated that approximately 2.2 billion people worldwide have some level of near or distance vision impairment.

Of all of the intellectual property to mine for a contemporary reboot, David Cronenberg’s 1988 thriller Dead Ringers could not have been at the top of many people’s lists. Inspired by a true story of twin gynecologists who died mysteriously in a filthy Manhattan apartment, the film (doubly) stars Jeremy Irons as Beverly and Elliot Mantle, and is a stylish and gruesome look (complete with mutant genitalia and metallurgical instruments) at two devoted brothers whose codependency leads them to ruin — particularly after a beguiling woman (played by Geneviève Bujold) comes between them.
Oscar-winning actress Rachel Weisz says she’s always been a fan of Cronenberg’s film and identified it as a possible project to develop for herself. In collaboration with playwright and Succession scribe Alice Birch, as well as directors including Sean Durkin and Karyn Kusama, the resulting reboot is a gender-swapped interpretation of Cronenberg’s Toronto-set tale,...

Once upon a time, there were two real-life identical-twin gynecologists. The brothers worked together at one of the finest hospitals in New York City and were a prominent part of Upper West Side high society. One of them, Cyril, was characterized as slightly more socially awkward than his sibling, Stewart; both were often referred to as “icy,” “aloof,” “remote.” It was rumored that the pair would sometimes switch places during the middle of exams with patients, one pretending to be the other. They would eventually be found together in a filthy apartment,...

Crash Course in Romance is a South Korean series directed by Yoo Je-won. A funny series that comes to us from South Korea, starring Jeon Do-Yeon and Jung Kyung-ho.
Crash Course in Romance is a series that manages to combine romantic comedy with a more classic and physical comedy based in ingenious dialogue. Briefly, more comedy and crazy situations than in a normal romantic comedy.
Crash Course in Romance (2023)
As happens in Love To Hate You, Crash Course in Romance is a series that, if you like this kind of humor that borders the absurd, will entertain you.
A curious comedy that is also about capitalism and an ironic gaze that is quite entertaining. We loved it and have found it to be very funny, a great and fun way to spend this week just

When former first lady Michelle Obama arrived at Revolt’s Atlanta headquarters to talk about her new book “The Light We Carry,” she walked into a unique situation.
Not only was Obama sitting down for a candid conversation with a quintet of powerful women of color — Grammy winners H.E.R. and Kelly Rowland, supermodel and activist Winnie Harlow and businesswoman Tina Knowles-Lawson, moderated by radio host Angie Martinez — but the studio was also filled with women of color — from the special’s executive producer Monique Chenault, Revolt’s president of news, specials and documentary, to the talent bookers, crew and PAs.
Needless to say, the vibe on set was markedly different than most.

This article contains Cobra Kai spoilers.
Cobra Kai season 3 revealed the backstory we didn’t know we wanted – the harrowing Vietnam experience of Cobra Kai’s biggest villain, Sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove). Cobra Kai has been on point when it comes to filling in the personal histories of their characters. The writing team of Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Bob Dearden have keen eyes for details and find reasonable justifications for the actions of its villains. Johnny’s (William Zabka) abusive father Sid (Ed Answer) has provided some redemption to his character’s initial villainy. But Kreese has remained villainous throughout the entire franchise. We don’t need to rehab all the villains, do we?
Kreese’s origin tale is told across three episodes. Despite their brevity, they’re packed with clever Easter eggs for fans to find over repeated viewings and tricky red herrings that toy with fan expectations.

For “Homeland” to do what it does best, Carrie Mathison had to become Nicholas Brody in the show’s eighth and final season.
Alex Gansa, co-creator and showrunner of the Showtime drama series, realized the storytelling path for the swan-song year as they were filming the closing scenes of Season 7. Claire Danes’ intrepid, bipolar CIA agent would come full circle by finding herself under suspicion of having become a brainwashed double-agent turned by the enemy — in this case, Russians — after she spent seven months in a spy-gulag during Season 7.

Byron Allen, who has been locked in a legal dispute with Comcast that has reached all the way to the Supreme Court, didn’t mince words in his response to the company’s latest executive shuffle.
David Cohen, who has steered Comcast’s diversity efforts and faced blame from Allen and others who say the company mistreated minority-owned cable networks, announced he will exit his operational role by January 1. In 2020, he will serve as an adviser to CEO Brian Roberts.
“With David Cohen out of the way, this is a pivotal moment in the history and legacy of Comcast and Brian Roberts,” Allen said in a statement. “Mr. Roberts and the Comcast board of directors should immediately rescind their petition in the U.S. Supreme Court challenging the civil rights of over 100 million Americans and sit down with staunch critics of Comcast/NBCUniversal.”

Sean Combs has come out swinging against Comcast in a lengthy statement prompted by the cable giant’s legal battle with Entertainment Studios chief Byron Allen.
Combs accused Comcast of maintaining “the illusion of economic inclusion” in its handling of a carriage agreement with Combs’ Revolt TV channel. Combs was critical of Comcast for failing to distribute the hip-hip music and lifestyle channel broadly across all of its cable systems. The statement came in response to the Supreme Court hearing held Nov. 13 on matters related to Allen’s 2015 racial discrimination lawsuit against Comcast.
Allen has accused Comcast of violating civil rights law by declining to carry the suite of seven niche cable channels owned by Entertainment Studios. Comcast has pointed to its distribution pact with Revolt TV and others as evidence that it does not discriminate against African American-owned outlets.

Sean Combs’ Revolt TV was birthed in 2013 as a part of a media mega-merger. Comcast’s 2011 acquisition of NBCUniversal was approved by federal regulators with the condition that the cable giant offer valuable real estate on its cable systems to 10 new independently owned cable channels.

Sean Combs’ Revolt is expanding the scope of its live event business with a plan to grow its annual music summit into a multi-day event held in multiple cities.
The Revolt Hip Hop Summit will be staged in Atlanta (July 25-27) and Los Angeles (Oct. 24-26) this year. The deal with At&T allows Revolt to expand the scale of its programming to incorporate all aspects of what Revolt calls hip hop culture. Revolt’s previous summits were daylong events focused largely on music.
“Now more than ever we need to own our culture,” said Revolt chairman Sean “Diddy” Combs. “At the Revolt Hip Hop Summit we will empower young people with sessions on the issues they care about. Comcast has selected TV One’s Cleo TV and Afrotainment’s Afro as the latest independent channels to receive broad distribution on its cable systems to fulfill commitments made as part of Comcast’s 2011 acquisition of NBCUniversal.
Cleo TV will target young women of color. Afro is described as a “polycultural black network” featuring movies, acquired and original TV series and other programming representing black cultures in the U.S. and beyond. Both channels will debut on Comcast’s platform in January.
“The offerings from both Afro and Cleo TV serve as an excellent complement to the growing catalog of programming choices we offer about global black communities,” said Keesha Boyd, executive director, of multicultural products at Comcast Cable. “We remain committed to delivering a wide array of programming by partnering with independent networks, such as the two we’re announcing today, to better serve our increasingly diverse customer base.

A series of film festivals celebrating political and cinematic resistance puts women firmly back in the centre of the frame
The summer season at the movies is traditionally a time for tentpoles and blockbusters, but this year’s wonder women don’t wear bulletproof bracelets. Independent cinemas are offering a sizzling summer of radical, intersectional film as an alternative to the franchise releases. A revival of radical movies made by feminist and queer film-makers from the 60s promises to show that revolutionary cinema and the spirit of 1968 isn’t all about angry young men.
As the weather sizzles, provocative films by directors including Věra Chytilová, Agnès Varda, Laura Mulvey, Greta Schiller and Mai Zetterling will raise the temperature inside the cinema, too. Leading the charge, the queer feminist collective Club des Femmes has collaborated with the Independent Cinema Office, the BFI and several international archives to roll out a programme called Revolt,...

Sean Combs’ Revolt Media and TV is downsizing in an effort to reallocate resources and expand the scope of its content production operations.
The company that operates the music-centric Revolt TV linear cable channel is laying off about 50 employees, or about one-third of its staff, across offices in New York and Los Angeles. The plan is to reorient the content production operation to deliver a broader range of short-form and long-form content encompassing lifestyle and culture, fashion, art, comedy, and social justice. The company will concentrate most of its content operations in Los Angeles while maintaining a sales office in New York.
CEO Roma Khanna outlined the layoffs and restructuring in a memo to staffers on Tuesday.
“We will work with more outside voices, producers, and influencers while maintaining a strong editorial core in-house. We will also create a more healthy and stable business base from which we can grow.

It’s a known fact that movies influence and feed off each other. With so many being made, it’s becoming harder every time to do something truly original; it’s up to filmmakers to use well-known elements in fresh, new ways. Take Joe Miale’s sci-fi action film Revolt, a hodgepodge of other films, which still manages to carve out its own identity. It’s a simple setup: Earth (or at least Africa, in this case) is invaded by mechanical aliens that make a lot of whirring noises and have weapons that can turn humans into literal dust. Humanity fights back, but rather than focus on the big battle, Miale gives us the story of an amnesiac soldier known as Bo (Lee Pace) and sexy French doctor Nadia (one-time...

"The machines are hunting everyone down. Machines programmed to kill." Vertical Entertainment has unveiled a new official Us trailer for the sci-fi indie film titled Revolt, from director Joe Miale making his feature debut. The film stars Lee Pace as a Us soldier in Africa attempting to fight back against a brutal alien invasion. This kind of seems a bit like a mash-up between District 9 and Transformers, with robot-like alien creatures taking over. Also starring Bérénice Marlohe (who was also in the sci-fi Kill Switch, as well as Skyfall and Song to Song), plus Jason Flemyng, Alan Santini, and Tom Fairfoot. I'm actually very curious about this, might be pretty cool. I dig the machines' designs, different than most other alien designs. Quiet Earth has debuted the trailer for Joe Miale's Revolt. Aka Prisoner of War, this sci-fi thriller was shot in South Africa. Completed in 2015, the film will see its premiere in Japan, this Summer. A North American release date remains elusive. Revolt stars Lee Pace (The Fall, 2006) as a U.S. soldier, fighting off an alien invasion. Though, the aliens look very robotic. Revolt also stars: Bérénice Marlohe and Amy Louise Wilson. The film's official trailer, courtesy of Dutch FilmWorks, is hosted here. The synopsis, from distribution house, Voltage Pictures, mentions a French aid worker. Together, Bo (Pace) and Nadia (Marlohe) stave off mankind's extinction as the world is overrun by robotic juggernauts. The war looks hopeless, unless new technology can be developed, to thwart the onslaught. The trailer shows some of the film's special effects. The alien force is almost entirely developed via CGI. Meanwhile, the settings show...

Lee Pace has played roles in some of Hollywood's biggest franchises like The Hobbit trilogy, Guardians of the Galaxy and now he's taking a leading role in an alien invasion movie called Revolt. Halt and Catch Fire, AMC’s smart, slick series about the fledgling computer industry of the 1980s, is California dreamin’. Joe, Cameron, Gordon, and Donna have all left Texas’ Silicon Prairie for Silicon Valley. “It gets out of the garage very quickly and we’re in the big leagues now,” series star Lee Pace tells HitFix of Halt’s new season debuting later this month. Halt and Catch Fire (which takes its name from an early computer command) started off with salesman/visionary Joe MacMillan’s race to compete with Ibm’s personal computer. Season 2 shifted its focus to online gaming. Now Halt and Catch Fire is going into its third season, which is longer than either of Pace’s previous television shows lasted. His team-ups with Bryan Fuller, Pushing Daisies and Wonderfalls, were canceled before their time, in the former case cutting short Pace’s endearing, Emmy-nominated role as the pie-maker Ned.

Currently, he’s better known as Ronan The Accuser in Guardians Of The Galaxy, but Lee Pace is set to replace Alex Russell in Prisoner Of War. And while Prisoner Of War is set on earth, Pace (playing a U.S. solider) will team up with Bérénice Marlohe (a French foreign aid worker) and take on some galactic bad guys. The plot sounds interesting as the two leads battle their war through Africa in search of refuge, and things take a bit of a twist when Pace’s character discovers his true identify. The movie is expected to arrive at some point in 2015.

Lee Pace is currently on our screens as the vengeful, face-painted fundamentalist Ronan The Accuser in Guardians Of The Galaxy. But for Prisoner Of War, he’ll have to face off against aliens as a human warrior instead. Pace replaces Chronicle’s Alex Russell in the film, which sees him as an American soldier alongside a French foreign aid worker (Skyfall’s Bérénice Marlohe) who are sent to Africa. It sounds like a crusading drama, but factor in that humanity is in the middle of a last stand against a devastating alien invasion. And you have to figure that given the title, it’s not going to go well for either.Joe Miale, who has plied his trade on music videos, game tie-ins, straight-to-dvd efforts and shorts, is making the jump to feature films with this one, writing the script with Rowan Athale.
