Taissa Farmiga has had a memorable career in both television and film, with standout performances in projects like "American Horror Story" and "The Nun." "6 Years" may not be a film for hopeless romantics, but Taissa Farmiga's performance as Mel is upsetting and heartbreaking, earning critical acclaim despite a low audience score. "The Final Girls" showcases Taissa Farmiga's versatility as an actress, as she delivers a fun and unserious performance in this horror comedy that earned approval from both critics and audiences.
Since 2011, Taissa Farmiga has slowly but surely made herself known as an actress to look out for in both television and film, and now, 12 years later, she has built up a pretty impressive list of projects. While some of these works may seem obvious, such as American Horror Story and The Nun, others are definitely underrated classics that more people absolutely need to see. All in all, Taissa...

A young couple ponders life’s biggest questions of vows, adulthood, love and … “would you ever consider an open thing?” Check out the exclusive trailer debut for the charming romantic comedy “Mark, Mary & Some Other People” above.
Hayley Law and Ben Rosenfield play the titular characters who reconnect after college. The duo begins dating and winds up swiftly falling in love and getting hitched (according to the trailer and by “Eastbound & Down’s” Steve Little no less!). As their whirlwind love story moves forward Mary suggests the possibility of exploring ethical non-monogamy. The decision changes things for the couple and opens a lot of personal questions for both as Mary starts to realize she’s more traditional than she thought whereas Mark starts to open up and see the world differently through Mary and a polyamorous lens.
Written and directed by Hannah Marks, the director was excited to film in her hometown.

Indie filmmaker Hannah Fidell is circling back to her roots. While she has made relationship dramas like “6 Years,” the Netflix comedy, “The Long Dumb Road,” and directed plenty of TV, her latest project is the most ambitious of her career. Exclusive: David Ayer and Chris Long’s production studio Cedar Park Entertainment will take the leap to indie studio status after sealing a partnership with Raven Capital Management. For Ayer — the writer/director of films that include Suicide Squad, The Tax Collector, Bright, Fury, End of Watch and Street Kings – and Long (former Programming Chief at Audience Network), the deal gives them the cash to allow for growth and autonomy.
That will include a move into acquisition and distribution of film and TV projects. Raven Capital Management is the Gotham-based private equity firm run by founder Josh Green and entertainment group head James Masciello, who acquired Open Road Films in late 2018 and brought back that distributor’s founder Tom Ortenberg to run it.

Exclusive: Quite a week for Netflix’s film division, which tonight won a ferocious auction for the Simon Kinberg spec script Here Comes The Flood. I’m told that the deal mid seven figures, an extremely high amount for a script that has no talent attached to it, but the kind of roles that attract stars.
Deadline revealed Wednesday night that the script hit the marketplace, shortly after we revealed that Netflix had won an auction for the Dwayne Johnson-Emily Blunt package Ball and Chain, which Emily V Gordon is scripting. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group has purchased North American rights to Hannah Fidell’s road trip comedy “The Long Dumb Road,” starring Jason Mantzoukas and Tony Revolori.
The film made its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Fidell and co-written by Fidell and Carson Mell, the film also stars Taissa Farmiga, Grace Gummer, and Ron Livingston.
Revolori plays a college-bound teenager who offers an itinerant 30-something mechanic (Mantzoukas) a ride during a stop-over in small-town Texas.
