Makes you keep your breath in expectation until the last possible second.
Brings up different sub-themes of wartime and life in general and engages the viewer with a brilliantly executed cinematography.
The movie is on the shorter side, so it doesn't have time to dive deep into individual stories and plot lines, but it still manages to build relevant characters and makes us care about them.
The philosophical question about God and his role in desperate times of global and personal grief and struggling is a compelling theme. It's something many of us have thought of and it's delivered in a delicate and rather beautiful way.
Overall, hugely recommended for anyone interested in WWII-themed movies and in European cinema.

There may be different discussions around "Nosferatu", but one thing is for sure. It's absolutely visually pleasing. A typical dark gothic vampire movie with a contemporary touch to it. Pretty costumes and impressive visual composition.
Lily-Rose Depp is a nice surprise. Her interpretation of Ellen is full of life and expression and definitely leaves a mark. The featuring of Willem Dafoe gives an additional value to the overall impression of the movie. His strong aura makes a difference.
But!! Undoubtedly, the one who stands out the most must be Bill Skarsgård in the role of Count Orlok. The work he has done with his voice is beyond impressive, and the overall way he holds himself in the skin of that ancient vampire is purely mind-blowing.
"Nosferatu" may not be the best vampire movie, but it's something out of the ordinary and a piece of a long forgotten genre some of us were longing for.
