The 1st season was too much fiction than actual history and most of it was a wierd copy past of "Uyanis buyuk selcuklu". The drama made in Uyanis made more sens to me and it was way more interesting and created so much of suspens until the finale.
In the overall serie, there were so many inaccuracies. I wish they were sticking to actual history, this would have made more sens.
In particular, Erbaskan was known to be a spy/refugee among the byzantin and this is how the batlle of Manzikert started.
I wish they explained the details of how an important battle in history happened.
Same thing for Sulayman and Qavurt, things in history were quite different.

This serie is amazing.
The historical context is very particular; It was during the raise of the Hashashin, right before the beginning of the crusade.
Historically very accurate, apart from small details made for the drama. The fiction was very intriguing, you are hooked since the very beginning and you cant stop watching until the very end.
Which is interesting in this serie is that, it is not about one lead where all the story is about him. We have Malik Shah as much as Nizam el Mulk and Ahmed Sancar, also Omar Khayyam and El Ghazali. On the other side, Hassan Sabbah with the Hashashin.
The cast is wonderful, mostly Hassan Sabbah.
The music is amazing, the battles are wonderful to watch.

I fell in love with Baris Arduc in this serie. Kuzgun is a very complex character and Baris nailed it. Very conflictual feelings where you cry from beginning until the end. The female lead is also very nice.
I liked the part where it felt like Mr. & Mrs. Smith; Both having their secrets and both lying to each other but both falling in love meanwhile. Season 1 ends like a very big explosion.
I like that women are quite involved with all the events. They are not like, in many series, weak and crying.
2nd season feels like written by completely different writers, feels very much like Kara Sevda where some man is desperately chasing a woman he knows she loves another. Not bad nevertheless.
