One of the most underrated shows airing right now. I watch pretty much everything and this is the show that has really gripped me. I don't know where it's going but I love it. I suspect some thought this was a Wes Anderson rip off or more irritating indie quirk and rejected it out of hand. But it has a genuinely nuanced originality, both in style and story. Reminded me of Lodge 49 in the tangents, mystery and free flowing narrative. Congrats to Apple for backing this - we need more of it!
Terrible it doesn't appear to be getting the attention and acclaim it deserves. A huge recommendation - can't let this series die!

The kind of film that looks spectacular on the surface and tells you should be enjoying it but leaves you numb, questioning life and desire in a sea of indifference. Have we forgotten how to make movies? This simply fails to work on any consistent emotional or dramatic level. Mescal doesn't have what it takes to carry the film. The script has some of the most pedestrian dialogue I've seen in a big blockbuster (ChatGPT would be proud). Outside Denezel and the Emperors none of the characters are interesting. Some of the CGI is truly terrible. And the climax is simply weak. Give this one a miss, you're not missing out.
Not only the best paranormal documentary I've seen but one of the best documentaries I've seen on any subject.
A fascinating and sophisticated approach to an extraordinary story, with a strange lip-syncing recreation that eerily echoes the phenomenon/possession itself. The voice both real and unreal.
The filmmakers have gone all out, creating a creepy atmosphere but also an investigative and objective style with some real pathos as well. It delves deep but I wish it was even longer.
This really is underseen and underrated (once again don't trust the IMDb ratings). It deserves a big audience.
