It really takes a lot for me to watch war movies, even though I'm retired from the U. S. Navy, same goes for most westerns. I just happen to love mysteries and film noir. Anyway took a chance on this and was pretty much blown away how great the movie is. Something tells me this movie is probably as accurate as we're ever going to get to the facts about Hitler's last days before ending his life on his terms. I for one do believe the human side of Hitler was someone, no matter how wrong, still believed he was doing the right thing for Germany and it's people. The real tough part was the part of the six children, that was really, really tough to watch. And even then I could see how the parents believed it was the right thing to do. Lesson learned, don't do wars based on race.
I'm sure the world leaders are gonna listen, lol. And note, I'm a Conservative who votes Republican.

Without doubt, the words, "great B-Movie" applies. This movie keeps you riveted from the very beginning. As someone mentioned in one of the reviews the story goes a little bit along the lines of the classic "Scrooge" story, except it's about a way out, one of a kind bank heist. And the acting is absolutely superb! All the actors are great, but especially Peter Cushing and Andre Morell, who was at the least as good, or better than Cushing, he was simply fantastic. And why not, he played the same character in a TV presentation a year earlier of this 1961 movie called, "The Gold Inside." I went looking for it on YouTube, no luck, couldn't find it.
This movie is a one in a10,000, it's simply hard to beat. It's got a little humor, great, great character actors who had a chance to shine as one of the leads, a crazy, not really believable plot, but that's what is so great about it. BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER as it still keeps you in suspense and guessing. If you ever get a chance to watch this, and you take your, "What, no blood and guts" out of it, you'll love it.
