Simply don't set any expectations and you'll make it through. It's a bit tough to chew on, but it's edible. The cover of the movie is perhaps the key feature. The actors do what they need to do to get paid and meh they pumped out a film.
You are going to have the gammit on this one. Like liquorice or a nice stout beer you either like it or just won't. Certainly a different twist and just have to power through it to see if you agree. The anguish of what many soldiers go through in the field is evident. Lets put aside any specific country alliances. Its a war movie with an unexpected twist.
This hits hard. Fortifies my belief in our young men and women in uniform. Doing what most won't. Regardless of political position this film shows a bit of the lifelong bonds built in the trenches that will last a lifetime. Bonds that hurt deep when they fall next to you.
I hope more watch this, not only for those that are currently serving but those that return back home trying to cope with the losses and traumatizing moments. Those that have served and have known bonds like this understand and those that don't simply will never. Nothing brings people close that watching each others backs against death itself.
I didn't talk about the film yes, i talked about how it impacted me inside. Doesn't glorify war. Nothing should. Worth a watch regardless of points of views of the "why".
