An interesting premise bogged down by a lackluster style of execution. The lead characters were beyond boring and the comedic moments fell flat at times. It's an alright viewing, if you have nothing else to watch but don't expect anything new or refreshing being contributed to the vampire genre. If you are a connoisseur of tepid teenage angst movies with a twist. Then this is the one for you. It was clearly inspired by better movies such as Let the Right One In, Byzantium, What We Do In The Shadows and A Girl Who Walks Alone at Night. I suggest watching those movies if you haven't seen them.
P. S I did however enjoy the song 'Emotions'.

Representation does not make up for awfully written characters, a script riddled with plot holes, wooden dialogue and poorly done CGI. Quality matters folks.
This series had a very intriguing premise that definitely drew my attention but unfortunately that's the only good thing about this series. The protagonist is beyond unlikable. The dialogue is boring. The characters keep making questionable decisions that pulls the viewer out of the experience.
