I understand where the hate stems from for this movie... but I liked it... a lot.
First let's talk about the musical aspect of the movie:
-the songs were kind of mid -not enough originality out of the music -melodyne on voices that should not require melodyne. I mean Lady Gaga can sing obviously but some moments it was very clearly pitch corrected and it took away from the rawness this film needed. Especially on Joaquin's voice. Which some of it was not pitch corrected obviously.
Aside from that I think the musical aspect is not out of place for what this story is about. Arthur failed at comedy in the previous movie, therefore he found another means in which to entertain others and more importantly, his self. He wanted the spotlight. The musical numbers do not feel forced, as most of the singing is coming from fantasy sequences, much like how he was fantasizing with Comedy in the first. That's all I'll say without spoiling.
Secondly, the court room drama aspect of the movie is fantastic. There's some really wonderful acting in these scenes, most notably from Puddles. Phoenix as well. I won't spoil too much but there are also some familiar faces in the courtroom that got me pretty excited...
I believe Joker 2019 was very deeply grim and sadistic. It's a great movie all in all, but I viewed Joker as a straight up villain. I had no sympathy for him. The sequel shames sensationalism. I think it's sad that a lot of people wrote this movie off because of social media telling them to. Obviously more people should watch and form their own opinion. It's a really solid movie, top tier performance by Phoenix. Folie a Deux gets a 8/10 from me.

I'm slightly biased because I'm a big fan of the series and all the people involved in the making of this...
I'll start by saying I'm slightly disappointed that this couldn't be an actual 4th season but the effort that went into this movie was appreciated. Tons of cameos and funny throughout the surprising runtime. I'm really hoping the hype for this franchise builds and builds because I really think they could continue bringing the laughs. The movie was shot super well and feels like a REAL comedy, as opposed to a lot of the Hollywood "comedies" that seem way too watered down/have agendas and checklists... I was a little disappointed some of my favorite characters (Aldis) didn't get a lot of screen time but I understand the movie needed to cut some fat.
It's actually weird, I think Jimmy Tatro has been involved in some of the funniest projects I've seen in the last 10 years. From 22 Jump Street to American Vandal and The Machine, this guy along with Christian Pierce have such an amazing lens when it comes to sketch comedy and now film. Even if Real Bros comes to an end, I can't wait to see what they have in mind down the road.
Bryce, Duncan and Wade are so so so funny in this series... Anything those guys say is funny. The girls in this movie are also bringing a lot of laughs and I just think overall this ensemble is the current funniest in entertainment right now. I can't think of any other ensembles who are bringing this much entertainment to the table right now. Please spread the good word of this movie to your friends, because it needs to be shared. Every time I watch Real Bros I start to riff and get silly like the characters and I feel like what Tatro and the cast do is contagious.

Deep Blue Sea is my fav shark movie and this borrowed a lot of small details.
It's everything you expect with only a few decent misdirects. The premise is solid, the exposition is simple and the pace is fast. Loved the opening too.
Cast: I actually really liked the cast, Rainn Wilson is awesome in everything he does... definitely elevated the movie.
Story: Of course, the whole movie I'm yelling "that's impossible!" But you just have to suspend your disbelief and enjoy this one. Everyone tries to be the hero, just as you expect. But at least there's a couple instances where a character points out the ridiculous plot points in the movie.
VFX: Sometimes I wonder why they don't just fully animate movies like this, because 75 percent of the movie already is lol but you can tell they paid top dollar for the effects. They're not bad at all, I just feel like some of the shots have too many composited images....
7/10 excited to watching the even-more-ridiculous sequel.
