I am passionate about film. My favorite period is from the silent era through the 1930's. I have come late to foreign film, and cannot possibly watch alI that I wish to, not in this lifetime. There is fun participating in discussions and engaging with other posters on IMDb. I thank them for their time and passion. My all-time favorite actor, writer, director, producer, film editor, and music composer is Charlie Chaplin. He is a genius never to be surpassed. As for today - thank goodness for independent and foreign films - and the rare good or great film that make it through the vacuous thing that is Hollywood.
