Three seasons of a web series passed and it feels like it houses the nostalgic and original element to compare to some beloved series that occupied television in the day.
Sounds crazy, right? Seriously, give this series a try. It rarely veers in a political journey and, when it does, it still strikes. It's a fun and expieremental thrillride that shows how creative Mike Barkhoff is. His age through the seasons is crazy enough, let alone the quality of the series. Season 2 plays as if a genius wrote a classic novel and so far, close to the end of it's third, it manages to continuously reinvent itself, having fun, not taking itself too seriously unless necessary, and stay original and fresh.

Limbo is a perfect example of Mike Barkhoff needing to open his door to allow collaborative efforts in more often. The short film manages to do more at a 12 minute mark than his third feature film did at forty-five minutes (Doppelgang was good, but honestly). Ron Gomes is a talented writer and it shows, the acting, while a bit flat from time to time, is almost entirely moderate. What makes the film stand is the twist, which plants it in a role where I can say it is nostalgiac of a perfect original M Night Shyamalan film. If this is the route Ron goes with his career, and if Barkhoff continues adapting, then we are in for a massive treat and seeing one's career being healthily and the latter's propel to new heights.
The film has some good elements like it's comedy but overall it was unnecessary. The release method and message fight against each other (as in the political concept and trying to send a message but requiring pay for it).
It is very notable, however, that you can tell Barkhoff's precision to filmmaking. Look at the imagery here in comparison to Windfall - stark contrast between comedy and drama shown in the posters and cinematography.
Other than that layer and it's comedy... 4 stars is reaching.
