With all due respect, the idea for this video is solid enough and had an interesting set up, but idk why it was labeled like a "trip video". This may be a little critical, but other trip videos lead us to an interesting destination and has a smaller team up. That being said, this isn't why the video is one of weaker ones of this year; it's mainly due to the lesser stakes in hand.

The video has some really good jokes, but most of the subplots were pretty meh. Firstly, Mario was pretty boring at the beginning with the running gag with him and his bike. The subplot with SMG3's team was pretty funny I guess, but Meggy suffering a bit later on wasn't good. The third act tho was great with Mario being good, but I saw the ending from a mile away.

Overall, the video isn't a bad one, but I feel like more could've been done whether as a real trip video or a bicycle plot. Maybe if there were more jokes or a better execution, it would've been better than expected. However, the video is alright for at least one watch.

So...I find episodes with the Mario and Karen team up to be either not fleshed out or annoying. I mean we got annoyances like How to Train your Mario and Mario breaks the ice cream machine. In addition, this year's Mario's Plane Trip was weighed down by Mario. So this video here should've been bad right? Well...actually no! This one was actually very good!

So basically Karen got a lot of growth this year in SMG4 where she really cares for her kids and tries to everything in her power to make sure they are safe. Mario is here too, and this time he's funny without once being either boring or a manchild. We also see Karen's kids where they started off a bit annoying, but got better in the video. The message of the video was dealing with parents trying to get closer to their loved ones, and I think that's a good message to do. There's also a nice tie in for how her kids bond, and Karen uses it to reach out to them. The ending was also very sweet and ended things off on a very good note.

Overall, SMG4 this year seem to understand what the audiences want to this in this pairing most of the time because this is one of Karen's best appearances and Mario was his funny self. It's not a perfect video since it has some annoying parts, but it's overall great and refreshing to see. I hope the SMG4 keep experimenting like this and trying some concepts like this again. This is their main strength on character growth.

So apparently this kind of humor is usually just "Ohio". I never liked this joke at all and it's just really dull. So you'd be surprised that this one did exactly what it did. But I will say I was just bored of this video rather than annoyed. Once you hear the Ohio joke, that's all it is for the rest of video. Just random stuff that makes no sense because "Ohio!". That joke got old within one minute.

I will say this though. I liked the team up of Mario and Tari. They had some funny jokes especially at the beginning. I also liked how they used this brain rot humor in order to escape. But overall, I consiser this video the worst of SMG4 2023. While it's not a horrendous video, it's a bland kind of bad where it doesn't know what to do, and you would be missing nothing if you skip it.
