I just finished watching The Blacklist, and what stood out the most was classic James Spader. His performance is mesmerizing-he delivers every line so naturally that it never feels scripted. He embodies Raymond Reddington with such intelligence and charm that it's hard to imagine anyone else in the role.
The premise of The Blacklist was compelling, and I appreciated that the writing didn't always follow a predictable formula. There were enough twists and turns to keep things engaging, and while some plotlines required a suspension of disbelief (especially with timelines), that's part of the fun of escaping into a show like this.
That said, not all of the cast was on Spader's level. I found the supporting performances uneven, and Megan Boone, in particular, fell flat as a lead. Her acting felt one-note, which made it difficult to fully invest in her character.
Overall, The Blacklist was an entertaining ride, thanks in large part to Spader's brilliant performance. If you enjoy smart, charismatic antiheroes and don't mind a few logical leaps, it's definitely worth the watch.

Trump has so many weird mannerisms and the way he speaks sounds really off in real life so before I watched this movie, I was concerned that suspect Sebastian Stan was going to be over the top; instead, he nails Trump's weird mannerisms and strange way he talks -- it drew me in and you really see how awful a person Trump is and how he likes moral fiber -- played out on the big screen. Well done well done.
I really enjoyed how this movie was written to really explain that the persona of Trump is made up. He's a horrible businessman. He goes bankrupt all the time; He blew through his father's money. The apprentice was a façade. It was a character of Trump that was never real and I love how this movie portrays that so well.

The acting is good but the world of wrestling is so dirty, dingy and ugly that even a marginal character has little likeability.
I just had a hard time watching it. It wasn't fun. In today's world, there is enough nasty people that watching for entertainment just isn't my jam.
