I didn't read about this movie before tuning in on YouTube but the premise seemed it might be interesting but really it was pretty predictable: Some folks go on a trip despite being warned of the danger, then predictably they encounter the danger and death and then try to survive. Honestly, I continued to watch just to see who would survive, and it turned out more than I would have expected. The movie says it's about aliens and monsters but there were only a couple of oversized flying insects and a bunch of dinosaurs with red eyes, and did not see any of the gore that usually accompanies such encounters. The one good thing I can say about the movie is that the production was sharp and easy to look at.
For all the hype, I was disappointed in "Oppenheimer." It was well done and visually easy on the eyes but the movie was overly long and boring at times, especially the first hour. The second half was somewhat more interesting, but truth be told, the movie focused on a character who was not particularly likeable and really hard pressed to have sympathy for him. There is gratuitous nudity twice and don't undestand why Christoper Nolan felt it necessary to include it in this movie. Honestly, I did not find this movie particularly entertaining and am not likely want to see it again. As far as movies go, I much rather want to spend my time and money to see the likes of "WIcked" or "Gladiator II" or even another showing of a Jurassic Park/World movie.
I do not understand the fascination with zombies but seems like every zombie movie I have ever seen has the same idea, which is unfortunate. I tuned in on Amazon as it was its highlight movie and I thought it would be a more science-oriented such as "Virus" or "Outbreak." But it wasn't and just another surviving the onslaught of zombies chasing unaffected. The acting was OK though just about the entire movie focused on the Spanish male star and his cat. While there were some interesting aspects to the movie, in the end it was just another zombie movie, though the use of zombies at the climax was a little different.
