I have no idea why women do that to their faces. Could it be that it's our fault? Are we men driving older women to turning their faces into Joker (or worse) faces? Nicole's face is now so scary! How on Earth does she keep getting jobs as an movie actress? Her face is near monstrous and, because of that, extremely distracting. And what's wrong with her voice? She has the voice of a child! A monster with the voice of a little girl.
This movie is bad (most of the time boring and has a terrible ending), and Nicole's Joker face and extremely annoying child voice immensely contributed to it being bad.

I have written many reviews, but none of them urges people not to watch the movie. For the first time, I urge those reading this: DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! It's a big, big, big waste of time.
Up to the middle, the movie is quite interesting. You think it's about being naive, about differences in cultures, maybe about learning to become more open-minded, or maybe even about a cult. Whatever. You keep guessing. From the middle onward, you start to dislike the Danish couple for their passivity, bad decisions, etc., and the story begins to become nonsensical, although the movie is still watchable. But then... then... the ending! More bad decisions, more passivity and an unimaginable violence against the daughter, with the parents not fighting fiercely enough to save her, and totally giving up on themselves. No explanation is given for who the evil couple are and why they do what they do, leaving you extremely frustrated.
We know there is evil in the world, but what exactly is the point of this movie? I don't mind a movie having no happy ending, but this is far beyond not having an happy ending. It's just pure insanity and pointlessness.
Now, one might say it's an allegory. If that is true, just the very ending looks like one. Nothing against allegories, but... why, then, just the last minutes? If all that the evil couple wanted was the child, why would they bother spending so much time with its parents?
This is one of just a few movies I really felt I wasted my time watching.

I stumbled upon this movie on one of these free movies websites, and knew nothing about it. The beginning was so good that I said to myself "Oh, finally a good film!", since finding a good movie to watch is very hard. Acting and quality of the film (settings, camera work, etc.) are good! After 30 minutes or so, my opinion about this movie began to change. The scratching and the ants started to become very repetitive and, thus, annoying. I hoped this film would be about a woman with psychological problems, or who can make millions of people happy, but not herself, or a motivational speaker who doesn't believe (or doesn't live) what she preaches and does that job just for the money and fame, or an influencer with a dark side, or exposing motivational speaking as a cult. Something like that. That would have been so interesting! But no. After taking too long to decide in which direction to go, the story took a supernatural turn, and not even in an intelligent, at least plausible way. It became just another cursed person movie, resorting to lots of (weird) CGI and with the main character doing lots of stupid things. Pity.
