Here it is May, and I know there will be no more important film of 2006 than the Al Gore doc "An Inconvenient Truth". This film WILL drastically change the political and environmental consciousness of our country, and carve itself a mark in National history. This perfection in cinema will be immortalized for posterity, and emerge as the preeminent example of our medium's power of education and influence.
When the lights came up, I made for the door. The entire audience stayed for the credits, but I instantly wanted to be alone. My reactions had been emotional and it was painful stifling my welling elation. Three young girls (sixteen to eighteen, at the most) filed out of the cinema in front of me. One sniffled restraint over her own reaction, as they pushed open the heavy wooden doors and squinted into the light. "I trading my car in tomorrow," she proclaimed.
"Tsssst, come on!" her friend jeered. No doubt, the group's eternal skeptic and future anachronism.
"I don't care what you say. I'm doing it!" she persisted. The skeptic piped down and the three solemnly exited the structure.
I have never had so much optimism for our future, youth, and culture.

I'm a big lucas fan I though sw 1 was OK the clone wars was awful and the sith is shitty. I never wanted to like a film more than the sith but its impossible. too many bad lines too much bad directing/acting because I've seen the actors be brilliant, just not in this film not even once. Yoda is the best part. McGregar is the second. He's the only actor that seems to breath a little life into his cardboard character. George should have gotten Kasdan to foot the screenplay. Dialogue is shameful and well heckled by the audience. It's a sad day but a happy day as well. No more star wars no more bad feelings its over, we're saved, and thank god. Long live Lucas. Do something you like, no more struggling to make a commercial movie, lets do something fun and creative.
This film is incredible. It's a heart wrenching story about a man who needs to prove his worth for life. against all odds this man who weighs only 39 pounds travels across the entire united states to show the doctor who said he'd only live til 6 thats he's still alive still here with enough love and guts to make his way through anything the world has to offer. He's a hopeless romantic and a talented animator. He shows the world that anything can be done with heart and drive.... and love. This is the tale of a man who will affect the world when his story is told to the masses. Seek this treasure out. I wouldn't be surprised to see this beautiful film leading the way at this years academy awards. I love this film and all who see it will fall in love as well.
