Every now and then I feel like watching a stupid movie to relax my mind and brain. What is worse, I've seen this movie before. Yes, it's really not good, and it's even worse when you watch it again. This is actually a terrible and worse copy of Men in Black on all levels. It has maybe a few good moments, but that's it. It's a shame the acting talent was wasted. The characters are ok at best, the story is boring and full of holes, the jokes and humor didn't hit the mark, but by far the worst part of the movie is the excessive use of bad CGI. I don't know why I forced myself to watch this again.
Quite a difficult and depressing film. In terms of scenery, this is a small film because everything happens in one place, but in terms of acting, it is quite large. No doubt, Brendan Fraser carried the film on his back, definitely his big comeback and the role of a lifetime. He disappeared in the role of overweight Charlie, and I don't mean just physically. However, the other characters did not impress me that much and that bothered me. I wonder if it's because Brendan was so great, layered and emotional. The ending of the film is good, but it didn't impress me so much, so I can't give a higher rating.
I finally watched this classic. I didn't read the book so I'm just rating the movie based on how I liked it. I think the movie is great and special, it deals with the topic of racism very well, especially at that time. I found it a bit unusual that a lot of it was shown from a child's perspective and that children had a relatively long screen time. Regardless, I think the child actors were excellent. For me, the real star was Peck in the role of lawyer Atticus Finch. He deservedly won an Oscar for his portrayal of a just and intelligent man who will do what needs to be done in any situation. There are several great scenes, the best for me is definitely the one in the courtroom, a cult scene when he questions witnesses and delivers a famous monologue. The only downside to the movie is that I wanted to see him even more in the movie because he was a real role model for all people.
