Season one was interesting and a good storyline. By the time episode two of season two came along, the now prevalent insertion of characters involved in abnormal personal practices came to the fore, making for absurdity. European and, especially Irish movies and tv shows now feel a necessity to bombard us with this nonsense. This series ended for us at episode two.
What a disappointment. For some unknown and unstated reason alot of time was spent showcasing a group of dancer jumping and stirring around in chairs to some apparent Jewish song. Totally out of place and rather irritating while taking time from telling the actual story of what happened at Entebbe. The interplay between Peres and Rabin was contrived and made Rabin, a decorated former general seem weak and only concerned with retaining the office of Prime Minister. Peres was portrayed as a war hawk. Yoni Netanyahu was shown only briefly and Dora Block and her fate only mentioned in the end write-up. You won't learn anything much about the raid on Entebbe from this movie. Try the Charles Bronson one called Raid on Entebbe made many years ago.
We got through 3 episodes and into the fourth when the seemingly now-typical aberrant behavior of two boys came on full display. This in-your-face nonsense apparently appeals to film makers but only causes normal viewers to turn it off quickly and delete from the wish list(amazon). I wonder, does New Zealand have a REAL film industry anymore?
