Carla Gugino is hot, sexy, and great bad ass in this show. The writing was fun and had plenty of adventure with twists and turns when a where needed. It was so good I was very surprised and disappointed when a second season didn't come along. This great one season show is up there with 'Roadies' on Showtime, another great one season series. It's really too bad MAX can't find room for more shows like this one. At the very least, Brin Carlo Gugino back in some type of show where she can show off her talent and beauty. This was great and should come back. I also loved 'Duece' but that had a few seasons.

The only real good part to this at least to me is having a few of the original 'Gladiator' actors back to portray the same characters. Connie Neilson is back and does, as usual, a fine job. Trying to add more allegedly 'spectacular' battles just emphasizes the attempts at 'more' and ' bigger' is better. IMHO, the 'Ship fighting' scene borders on stupidity and an attempt to add 'Jaws' to the theme to make it better. The basic theory of the film is just a bunch of repeated stories with little to add that makes it meet with the original Gladiator. Too bad they killed some of the best characters from Gladiator I.

Yes, wonderful and great special effects but a long, very drawn out storyline that gets basically just another long boring Sci-Fi. I guess I am just getting too old to truly 'enjoy' the pseudo spectacular newest sci-fi's to get released. I do remember when the film bar got raised when "Alien' was released way back in 1979.; I saw it at least 4 times in the theater way back then and to this day, it's one of the finest sci-fi items ever released. The Dune drama just isn't wha tI am interested in. Yes the SFX are great but it's long and boring. I had to have my laptop ready so I had something to do when I was viewing Dune Part Two on HBO-MAX. At least then I could say awake.
