Move aside Matt Cordel? (AKA the Maniac Cop).... nope. Just arrest this movie and call it a day.
The only horror found in this film is the leading man's acting, playing an over the top, almost camp, devil worshipping cop who stalks a bunch of 30 year old looking teens on their vacation in the woods. Well, more like a mansion with a bunch of trees around it.
The plot has been done a billion times before, you know, the typical "there's someone out there" but done laughably.
Everyone's picked off one by one as the comicly bad cop stalks around the house and surrounding woods while cackling like an idiot and showing acting I haven't seen so bad since his previous scene. It all ends in the typically predictable way all these Friday The 13th wanna-be's do.
You might think this film is just a rip off of Maniac Cop, but surprisingly it's not. Apart from being killer cops, the two share nothing in common. That's not to say I'd recommend checking this film out, tho. It really wasn't worth the time watching a bad actor in a done-to-death premise where the costume of the killer is the only thing changed in these annual 80s stalker slasher flicks.

A monkey toy causes death, Final Destination style, when its key is turned. Two twin brothers take possession of the thing after finding their father's old stuff passed down to them as kids. After using it and it kills their mother, one blames the other, and 25 years later one brother uses it trying to kill the other, but the 'hey, hey, it's the monkey' doesn't do requests. It kills who it wants, when it wants, once it starts playing the bongos.
Overall, this film has a couple of great kill scenes. Fans of Final Destination movies like myself will laugh at the gore and chaos that pursues. Where the movie goes wrong, however, is in boring characters, dumb plots, and pointless build ups.
Also, the feeling of time is all over the place, like it was a quick afterthought that was not fleshed out and corrected to give an understanding of exactly when these events are taking place. The movie kicks off like it's beginning in the 1930 to 1940s. But it has to be much later. Then, when the kids first come into the picture, it looks and feels like the 1970s, yet it's said it's the end of the 1990s. Then, a subtitle displays that it's now 25 years later, which would make it 2024-2025, and yet, someone's dialogue states it's 2016 which would place the scenes in the past more likely in the early 1990s. Not to mention the inaccurate prop placements, as the boys in their childhood years have a Nintendo Game Cube controller shown, only that console wasn't released until 2001 or so.
The impression left me baffled as to why it looked like the early half of the 1900s, then onto the 1970s, then to modern day. Only it was confusingly 70s-80s to 90s- to today. Supposedly.
Then there are the characters. Nobody in this film is relatable, interesting, or worth following the story of. One brother is dry, boring, and just seems to look and shrug off death like it's nothing, while the other is too over the top, trying to be as insane as possible, like a super villian, only to have no pay-off but a cheap laugh as the outcome of having to endure it. Both brothers are played by the same actor, so its pretty easy to just say they should've hired a better actor.
The son character is just as boring. Every other character seems to be played by someone who knows that no matter how they play it, they're only doing it for the money, and nothing will make this film a classic must watch.
There's no satasfying conclusion, and it has a really stupid ending. It might've been fine all fleshed out and explained in a Stephen King novel, but translation to the movie screen does not. If the film thinks its setting itself up for a sequel, then the jokes on them, and only a moron would give it the green light and expect someone would want to watch it, rather than just edit the kill scenes into a 30 second online clip and call it a day.
Don't be suckered by positive reviews here. By now, you should know cast, crew and studios hire people or AI to write fake positives because dishonesty is their way of suckering people in for their money whilst fully aware their product is nothing special. That or it's someone's first horror movie experience and blissfully unaware that there is so much better to see already out there.

Within the first 30 seconds of watching this garbage, you'll realise it's poorly made, horribly acted and a terribly executed idea. Least Troma films are self-aware they're acting horribly on purpose, I'm sure these numbskulls here aren't playing it aware of anything other than its not in the slightest way funny or entertaining.
The plot is supposed to be something like Lethal Weapon meets Tango & Cash, but it's actually an insult to those great movies in this steaming pile of you-know-what. If this movie had a budget, it's all been spent on hiring a Delorean to use. A pointless purchase for this film.
This thing claims its a tribute to 80s action movies, but it's more a tribute to the acting you'd find in 80s porn movies. Hell, this movies acting doesn't even hold a candle to the acting in 80s porn movies!
Poorly written, poorly acted, poorly filmed poorly edited, just a poorly bad movie overall. Don't bother. It's not even so bad it's good. It's pathetic all round and was either cteated as an amateur crews low budget vanity project, a tax write off, or someone dared them to create this.
There is no way any sane person made this deliberately and thought it would bring them fame or money.
Only TUBI would be dumb enough to put this in the public's lap without a warning messege that this is a complete waste of your time viewing and you'll be more entertained watching an 80s remake of Debbie Does Dallas for the acting alone.
