Good scenery, incomprehensible storyline. The reason I give this movie what I would call a massive 4 out of 10 is simply that the actors are not horrible. They give decent performances, believable performances sort of. The script is an incoherent mess with no logical purpose. I didn't know why the characters did what they did, and after the film I was left somewhat puzzled at what I was supposed to "take home" from watching it. Was there any sort of afterthoughts to be had? Not really. If the actors had been as bad as the script, then this would have been a 2/10 movie, but they lift it up to an acceptable 4 out of 10. Passable for entertainment, barely. Anything with Chuck Norris in it is at least as good/bad as this.

I expected this movie to be rubbish. I'd never seen it before, I'd only heard it referenced in popular culture, in movies, TV-shows, etc, where they made fun of it.

So I expected it to be horrible. But it was not. It was great. It had everything. It had action, shooting, suspense, violence, comedy. Romance. The unexpected.

If this movie wasn't the way it was, it'd be far higher rated. It's simply a very good movie, with very good and accomplished actors in it, and a very good storyline.

I would watch it again.

This movie tries to be one of those alternative artsy type movies. However it isn't the real deal. There's just a lot of dead-ends, no real dimension.

It's flat.

If this were a real alternative artsy type movie, critics would not be going ape over it, they'd be rating it 3/10 and saying they didn't get it, etcetera. But this is in fact a commercial mainstream type deal, so it's dumbed down enough for them to "get it", or at least think that they do.

Don't expect this to be great, because it isn't. They're deliberately faking it. A bit like rich people going slumming.
