Greetings from the other side. As mentioned, this series is watchable, but nothing special. It's good for killing time.
It was great seeing Brendan Fraser again, as well as Tom Welling. Brendan was a large part of making this watchable. Welling was strange to watch. He seemed like a robot, but Military speak is very robotic, so maybe that's part it.
There were many scenes ripped from other movies, even John Wick (selecting weapons like a dinner menu). Many obvious things, like watching a girl and guy spar. You just know the girl will win, and she does. However, in the real world, he would have crushed her. I'm so tired of seeing this stuff.
The use of flashbacks is very annoying, and serves absolutely no purpose. It's like the use flashbacks because they think it's cool, or they seen it used properly on another show, and they wanted to use it now as well.
Near the end of episode 6, there are around a dozen bad guys shooting down at Tom Welling's character with machine guns, and nobody hits him. Come on guys! They made storm troopers look like elite snipers, that's how bad it looked.
Anyways, after watching 6 episodes, I think this show is good for killing time, just don't expect too much.

Greetings from the other side. I believe that Fast 5 was their best movie, and since then, each new movie becomes worse.
However, I watch this series because I enjoy the fun action scenes, and I like the cast of characters.
If you think back to the first movie, these guys were basically just street racers that were also thieves. At some point, they all recieved gifts from the gods. They all suddenly became master-level fighters and Tej became a genius computer hacker. It's funny that the one women in this movie started talking some fancy car talk, and when Tej looked at her, she says "Yeah, I know stuff now". She received the same instant upgrades the others did, hehe.
I have liked Jason Mamoa since Stargate Atlantis, but I hated his performance in this movie. It's hard to make a guy appear scary when he acts all "Light in the loafers". He should have played it straight. He's a big menacing dude, and looks intimidating as hell, but not when he talks like a teenage girl.
They also need to stop bringing dead people back to life. They already have insane plot armor, so if death means nothing, then why watch the movie?
Finally, we all know they are a "Family", since we've been told this over 100 times by now, so dial that back. Oh, and try to keep the stunts within the realm of possibility. It's ok to have a one in a million chance to accomplish the stunts, but please stop the impossible ones.
Other then that, turn off the brain and enjoy the crazy action.
