What happened to equality of the sexes in this series and in this episode in particular? Does Netflix think that tennis players are only worth following if they are male? Ash Barty, the female Australian winner of this tournament, walked passed the camera at one point, but she was totally ignored in this narrative of male players and their macho performances. Why not show a balanced view of the tournament and the pressure faced by females players as well as the males counterparts. It is especially irritating since the winner of the women's tournament was an Australian and an outstanding sportswoman in every respect.
If only this could have been done a tighter and more focus manner I might have enjoyed it more. The Irish judicial system seems to have reach a conclusion about this crime and it might have been worth examining why this is case rather than pursuing the theories proposed by other less authoritative bodies.
The start of this 3 part series is particularly gruelling and you may be tempted to stop watching, but if you keep going you will be rewarded by a brilliant piece of drama and fine acting.
